Freebooter Moments
Dark Heresy’s on a break for this week due to real life circumstances, so we played Ork Freebooters using a mix of Dark Heresy 2E and Rogue Trader rules.
It didn’t make a whole lot of sense, because we really got into being big green space hooligans, but I haven’t had a session this cathartic in a long, long time. Sometimes it’s just fun to embrace the stupid in RPGs.
Somebody had stolen the Kaptin’s hat, which called for bloodshed. We searched all over the ship nearly getting all of the bridge sucked into the void in the process, until our weirdboy had a hunch and we made a jump to where the hat presumably was. We drove right through a fueling station upon exiting the Warp, and found the place. Seemed like the Kaptin’s hat had been stolen by a band of human cultists, so we did what any proper Ork would do and rammed our giant ass space ship right through their fortress.
Needless to say, they didn’t offer much challenge after we pulled off that stunt. It was great.
