Okay SO I've been seeing this thing recently about "what would happen if you had a room entirely made of mirrors - what would that look like?"
So I was thinking about it and I think I found the answer:
For this to have any hope of succeeding, there room must be entirely empty. If there is anything in the room, it will be what is reflected. But what does this mean?
People cant see into the room. The reason for this is that as soon as a human, animal or machine, such as a security camera, is present in the room, it will be what is reflected, causing the results to be invalid.
There cant be a door. The presence of a door would have the same effect as in point 1 - the door would be reflected. This means that the room of mirrors would have to be inaccessible.
There could be no windows. Again, anything in the room would be reflected, and windows would also mean that the outside world is reflected too.
There cant be a light fixture. This too would be reflected.
Therefore, there can be no light. Without light, mirrors cannot reflect, and we cannot perceive them. Add to this the fact that nothing can ever see an empty room, for as soon as you see it, it is no longer empty, and we have our answer.
The answer is that this room could never be seen by an entity.
Until we discover invisibility or vampires, we could not enter this room without altering the experiment. Even if we were invisible and could walk through walls, the lack of light would mean that we could not see anything.
So the answer basically is that this experiment can never happen, so we'll never know.
I hope that helps and if not, at the end of the day, the universe is billions of years old and yet too young for stars to have completed their life cycles yet - we are nothing but tiny specks in history and every diamond you wear came from a star millions of light years away. Have a nice day!
