I liked it a lot! It was creepy and weird and just completely unexpected. I went in pretty blind to what it was actually about and it was a wild and fun ride because of it haha.

I haven't seen it yet, but "this movie had a lot of interesting choices" sounds exactly what I was thinking it would be like

yeah, not to spoil anything* but there were a ton of moments where I was like, “well that was definitely a choice that you made”

which is not to say it’s a *bad* movie. it was def a fun trip to the movies w/ a friend. I had a def sense of “ah yiss” when the classic BatB opening music played and some of the choices were solidly good.

but some were more

interesting

*I can say without risk of spoiling bc trailers have been out for ages, why are the Beast’s lips so pouty? He always looks like he’s in a lipgloss commercial. I feel like they tried to give him human lips so that Belle’s wanting to kiss him would be less weird once you took away the animated cuddliness and the suspension of disbelief, but it just ended up swinging into a weird Furry uncanny valley.

See I am not a huge Frozen fan in general and Olaf makes me want to shank something so this is just making me think I should be out getting concessions or using the restroom for those first 22 minutes

if the thought of olaf singing the words, “ Oh, happy, merry, Mele Kaliki, holly jolly, happy tappy!” makes you want to commit a crime in a theater that will prob be filled with children, just grab your seat to save it, then peace out for about 20 minutes and slide in with your popcorn as the credits are rolling (and hopefully you miss the last joke bc it ends on a fruitcake joke for some reason. the 5th (I think) fruitcake joke in 22 minutes). 

I heard that in Mexico it pissed people off so much that they apologized and removed it which is hilarious to me.
