This one was tough, but I genuinely like how it turned out! There are definitely things I'm not super proud of here, but overall I'm very proud of this.
Although I doubt I'll be drawing him again any time soon, this was a pain and I STILL missed details.

Update: The entire fire line has progressed and is now literally a couple hundred yards from my house, but the firefighters have made a hard line and my house is on the right side of it. So, if it’s still there, it’s getting the best defense it can get while the fire tries to creep towards it. They are assuming they are still going to lose a structure here and there, but so far anything that has tried to sneak through has been quickly attacked and extinguished.
We have had a week of no winds, but tomorrow that will change and make things difficult. But we also have more help incoming from other states.
There are possible dry lightning storms tonight going through Tuesday that are thankfully looking a little less likely. I walked all the animals for a few hours today just in case, so they’d be good and tired while we hunker in my car like a faraday cage for the storm. Luckily, cars are a pretty safe place to be inside during lightning.
Gonna get some dinner and spend the rest of the evening writing fic.
