Fairy Tail Gaiden : Lightning Gods Chapter 19
This is so important to me. As soon as they meet, the first thing they do is notice each other's changes over the time. It might be inconsequential but it's such a sweet moment ♡
I always wonder about what Laxus expected to see, was it a new hairstyle? Just like he grew out his hair, maybe he thought she'd leave her bangs down. Or he could be referring to her personality, how she's naturally so cheerful all the time.
(Also the height difference is everything)
I find it really endearing that in a Laxus spin-off focusing on him as a wizard of Blue Pegasus, it's Mirajane who revealed that Fairy Tail was revived.
She informed him that the guild was back. It's just my perception of the scene but in my opinion, it kind of feels like Mirajane embodiment of the guild here. You haven't changed makes so much sense now. The guild might have disbanded however, not the feelings or the connections.
I think this could be anybody, literally Gajeel and Mirajane's roles could be swapped (in the next panel Gajeel told Laxus that they had come to take him) but it has a meaning.
Natsu represents the guild for Lucy, for Wendy it's Erza and they share beautiful bonds with each other. Even though this isn't canon unfortunately, I still like to think that regardless of shipping, Laxus and Mirajane have a close relationship with each other.

Do you think Ra wonders why the frick Thor and Zeus are the “kings” of their mythology?
Ra is the sun god, and humans need the sun to survive. The Egyptians knew this, which is why their most important god was the sun god. Lightning is not needed for humans to survive. Rain is, yes. Not lightning. So how was it that not one, but TWO cultures had the LIGHTNING gods be some of the most important? Ra was probably face-palming so hard.
