Guild Headcanons

Hey so since canon didn't want to elaborate on the other guilds, I'm gonna talk about the other guilds and what I think their specialties are. With so many guilds in the country it's only natural they all focus on certain things.

Guilds, in general, are just wizard organizations and can literally do/be anything in my world. I take canon and run 30 feet to the left.

Fairy Tail

Not gonna spend a whole lot of time with them because like, we know. They primarily focus on client requests. Slaying monsters, translations, etc. It's part of the reason they're one of the more popular guilds, they're friendly. A lot of people have had great experiences with Fairy Tail. The shenanigans are just an added bonus. For such a popular guild, they're so easy to get a request into, and because of the guild's size they're usually handled quickly.

Their guild members consist of literally anyone, and they all subscribe to the same breed of nonsense. yk what I mean

Blue Pegasus

While they do operate like the other guilds, they actually focus a lot more on management. They work closely with the magic council to deal with various issues within the magic world. They're the go-to guild to get funding from various people, secure treaties, etc. They're probably the guild that works with the council most, they play the game and they play it well, and they're not above keeping tabs on them for other guilds that have issues with them.

They do a lot of organization for big issues--getting the guilds together for the Oracion Seis, for example. That's not to say they aren't powerful. There are issues in the higher levels of the magic world, and sometimes that means fighting some guy who wants to cause trouble.

They work closely with various guilds for funding matters, for example Lamia Scale for the first response budget--aid isn't cheap in the first place but there's been a lot of wage issues in the past.

TLDR they're the politics guild. They work with some other guilds for matters like this, (of the main guilds, mainly Lamia Scale. Listen you can't trust Fairy Tail to play nice with the rich guys) as well.

Lamia Scale

Bouncing off Blue Pegasus, certain members do help with the more political side of the magic world, but usually older, seasoned members like Jura. They focus mostly on aid and first response, and are always fighting with the magic council for the absolute nonsense they pull during a crisis. Tensions are very high between Lamia Scale and the council and they have a long history of pissing each other off. Lamia Scale's history in general is Fairy Tail levels of fucked up and under-wraps.

They take requests, but usually for reconstruction or aid of some kind. Instead of a request board (which they do have, it's just not as plentiful as Fairy Tail's) they operate under Ooba, Jura, and other elder members of the guild that assign various tasks based on teams ability.

S Class, in their case I haven't come up with a name for it, are for wizards who they trust to handle heavier, more dire situations. They're not gonna send the new kids into something serious unless they really think they can handle it.

Teams are chosen based on their skills. Some teams are better in jobs that require fighting, others are better at evacuations, etc. Ooba is very strict on how members are assigned to various issues, for both the safety of the wizards and the people involved in a crisis. If she doesn't think a member can physically or mentally handle something, they won't go. End of story. They have more levels than just S-Class.

A good chunk of their members were victims of some disaster and would later join after their lives were torn apart. Lamia Scale was called in for help with Deliora's destruction and cleanup, which is why so many Deliora survivors are in the guild. Margaret is comprised of a lot of people who Lamia Scale helped, serving as a place for them to rebuild their lives. As far as loyal cities go, they're way up there. They have a very close relationship to the city and was founded as one of the first cities they helped before even being an organization.

Sabertooth

Under Jiemma, Sabertooth was remarkably difficult to get a request into. He was picky about who and what received their help, and it always had an ulterior motive behind it. They didn't work with other guilds, at all, which was becoming more common pre and during the time-skip, Fairy Tail's influence had a lot to do with that, and Jiemma hates how Fairy Tail operates.

Jiemma, sometimes Minerva, would send members on jobs personally, or they could volunteer to be in the tournaments (more on that later). This meant that members could go months without employment, so when you got a job you made sure to do it damn well so you'd get another one (Jiemma would absolutely kick someone out if they got caught working somewhere else, too, especially retail because he's a classist asshole).

They did a lot of showy jobs, things that would show the public how powerful they are. And if you were employing Sabertooth, you paid well (and most of the money went to Jiemma, because of course it did). He used to put on in-guild tournaments that people could attend, allow people to pay for a chance to fight their members, etc. They were more an entertainment guild than anything, and you would get kicked out if you made the guild look bad.

Post-Jiemma and under Sting, they take a lot of inspiration from Fairy Tail. They rebuilt their relationship with Gazania, though tensions are still there because many of the citizens are people that were were exploiting members through the tournaments (which were. not exactly safe. More than a few career-ending injuries happened). It's kind of a mess.

During Fairy Tail's disbandment, they filled the gap they left by taking requests like they did. The public already had some positive opinions of them, though they had their haters due to their behavior (see GMG cruelty), but they've reconstructed their reputation over time.

They were the council darling guild beside Blue Pegasus under Jiemma, Fiore's pride and joy, etc. Under Sting, they're the biggest pain in the ass. The council hates them. Post-Jiemma, Sting started pushing for regulations on wizard treatment within guilds, and he's a little asshole about it (as he should be). Sabertooth as a whole put a spotlight on all the issues within the magic community that were previously hidden from the public, and they're not quiet about what the council let Jiemma put them through.

Mermaid Heel

They're a newer guild and they're kind-of a combination of everything. They're always working with Lamia Scale for first response, take open requests, and work with Blue Pegasus for more managerial work. It's more up to the wizard for what they'd like to focus on.

They're strategists, creative. They don't do a lot of fighting jobs like Sabertooth of Fairy Tail, but more humanitarian work. They do some entertainment-esc work, guild duels for example (in a healthy way, and they're often fundraisers).

As an all-female guild they face a lot of crap, especially when they first started. The were undermined as fighters, which their stronger members quickly nipped in the bud (I mean, Kagura, c'mon).

The council is pretty fond of them. They do their job well without the shennanigans of the Sabertooth and Fairy Tail or the animosity of Lamia Scale (except they hate the council too and are secretly working against them, especially post TOH and other similar incidents. They're just quiet about it and strike when the time is right.)

it all starts the day before the nirvana incident finally gets resolved. lahar is dragged to a party by his fellow rune knights and, being a lightweight motherfucker, accidentally gets blackout from two (2) beers. hence, he wakes up the morning that he's going to arrest the oracion seis Very Hungover

this has consequences

the consequences are: lahar is wearing sunglasses to block out the light of the forest. and as such he manages to successfully arrest richard, but fails to notice jellal lurking in the shadows as the man is wont to do.

(none of his subordinate knights dare point out the blue haired pretty boy who looks suspiciously like a known domestic terrorist chilling behind a nearby boulder. they figure that if that man were truly jellal fernandez, lahar would have absolutely arrested him by now)

the rune knights have left. everyone is loitering in the forest. smash cut to gray, who nods towards jellal and asks, "seriously, though, who is that guy? another blue pegasus pretty boy?"

natsu, being a little shit, makes a split second decision. "oh yeah," he says, struggling to contain his laughter. "this guy? he wants to join blue pegasus, alright. he- ha! he was so desperate that he stalked ichiya and the gang all the way here so he could ask 'em"

after all, natsu thinks, jellal did still make erza cry once, even if they were cool now. served him right to look like a little bit of a loser.

gray turns to jellal. "come on, man; fairy tail is way better than those posers. join us instead!"

"nah, he seemed pretty insistent about it," happy chimes in in perfect sync with The Bit natsu is running and also not ready to let erza hang out 24/7 with jellal at their guild. "besides, he looks suuuuuper weak. i bet natsu could beat him with one hand tied behind his back."

natsu gives a snickering happy a high five. "right on, little buddy! let him go to blue pegasus. he'd be better off with ichiya and master bob and the rest of those weirdos anyway!"

at this point, jellal and wendy both go to protest. they're cut off by erza humming thoughtfully.

"actually," erza says, "that might just work."

natsu and happy both go "wait, WHAT" in perfect unison. erza ignores them and continues on.

"the best route to atonement is rehabilitation. i'm certain masters makarov and bob would agree. and what the magic council doesn't know, well....."

she straightens up. "right. everyone, time for some introductions. jellal, these are the members of blue pegasus, cait shelter, and fairy tail. everyone else, this man here is jellal.... indigo."

a beat as the members of fairy tail stare at erza with wide eyes.

"uh," she tacks on awkwardly. "no relation."

another beat. then...

"wait, jellal?!-"

"erza, you can't mean-!!"

erza glares her teammates down. "i said, no relation. jellal fernandez has been dead for months. now, let's let mr indigo here talk to his prospective guildmates in peace, hm?"

everyone slinks back, nodding in fearful agreement. the silence is only broken by a dry, unpracticed laugh.

"you know," jellal says to erza, smile dancing in his eyes, "i think you might be a little colourblind."

'what do you mean?"

he reaches for a lock of his hair. "if anything, it's closer to azure. presuming that's what you were referring to, i mean."

erza eyebrow's furrow for a moment – then shoot up. "you remember?"

"not everything. but i told you i wouldn't forget that."

Villains Contest 2: Candidate n°7 (Brain/Zero)

Presentation:

Brain (also called Zero) is a major antagonist from Fairy Tail franchise. He is the leader of the Dark guild Oración Seis.

His villainy's journey:

Brain was once a honest villager and benevolent patriarch (his family was formed with him, his wife and five children) when bandits attacked his village. His entire family was killed in the attack. And Brain the only remained family member snapped out, awakened his evil persona Zero and used his new dark magic powers with what he exterminated all the bandits without any mercy.

His biggest crimes:

Years later, he became in charge of the Bureau of the Magic Developement where he supervised any doubtful magic experiments on children (Ultear included). When a child Ultear destroyed the laboratory, Brain defected his job by leaving his squad in the catastrophe. He went to the Tower of Heaven (a Lacrima-composed building made to "resurrect" Zeref) where he recruited five slave children: Richard/Hoteye, Eric/Cobra, Sorano/Angel, Sawyer/Racer and Macbeth/Midnight. Among them, the man took the latter child as his adoptive son. He founded his Dark Guild: Oración Seis. He even formed alliance with the Balam Alliance (a coalition of Dark Guilds in order to control Earth Land under an Age of Darkness even at cost of incalculable innocent lives). Oracion Seis got the job of summoning the Nirvana, a mobile city-sized machine that had the power to mind-corrupt people with only two ways: to purify dark people to drive them at light and to corrupt good people into dark people. When Oración Seis members were defeated by Allied Forces (group of Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale and Cait Shelter mages), Brain turned into Zero and he drove the Nirvana to try to exterminate the entire Cait Shelter guild where Wendy and Carla were settled. He was finally defeated by Natsu Dragneel (after Jellal's support to the latter).

Seven years later, Brain was released from prison (like the rest of his guild) and planned to resume his evil deeds again but he was killed by Cobra.

Brain/Zero came back again but as a demon under Faris' services. He became part of Oración Sechs (a demonical version of Oración Seis) until his defeat.

The blue pegasus goddesses! The top hostesses in the guild, their schedules are always booked full! While the top models are the likes of Riko and DeZille, these girls are the real money makers of the guild with their entertainment!

Introducing Daisy, a founding member of Blue Pegasus. She and Sir Ichiya joined around similar times at the start of the guild. She's a classy woman and such a momma to the younger members of the guild. With her glamour magic, she can make herself and others look however she can imagine - but warning, these looks are surface deep, they're only makeup!

Next up, Dolly! Resident gyaru and extrovert, she's a boisterous girl to get to know - a party all night kind of girl. With her rope magic, her clientele can get a little saucy, but she uses her magic mostly when helping her guildmates work on the airship Christina!

Finally, Livia, a cutesy girl who just loves a cafe date! Want a way to spend your money? She loves to be treated to shiny clothes, and a trip to the spa never goes wrong in her eyes. hosting is actually a secondary job, as her script magic is used in her other job as a tattoo artist!
