🌼 -Eliane brings Haurchefant an assortment of brightly colored flowers. A mixture of chrysanthemums, sunflowers, roses, lilies, peonies, and carnations. All to symbolize a speedy recovery for her dearest. She sets it on his bedside before taking her seat next to him.
Recovery was...difficult, to put it lightly, and every setback and every hurdle threatened Haurchefant’s good mood. He put on a show for most people, smiling and laughing and joking about things, but his spirits were rarely as high as he pretended they were. But depression was too easy, lurking at the edges of his vision, waiting to take over – so he did what he could to stave it off.
Some days were worse than others, but...well, Eliane knew that.
Today was not a good day. He had had a hard time with his physical therapy, in spite of the fact that he worked out his upper body every day he could. It had gotten to the point where he had snapped at the chirurgeon (who he had then quickly apologized to). Eliane had not been there with him when that had happened, but she recognized his mood, nonetheless.
When she returned from her mysterious excursion, however, Haurchefant could not help but feel his spirits lifted. Flowers! Of all kinds! He didn’t know the specifics, what types of flowers they were or what they meant, but they were a dazzling array of different colors and types. They brought joy to the dreary room he was stuck in.
“How in the Fury’s name did you get all these flowers?” he asked her, his eyes bright. “And they’re – for me? How thoughtful!”
