💜💙🤍✨ The perfect combo for June babies! Alexandrite and Moonstone polishes from @lightslacquer. Sadly Moonstone is discontinued 😕 but maybe we can convince them to bring it back! 🤞🤍✨ I will say though, I didn’t achieve this finish solely by applying a couple of layers of this polish. Moonstone is a clear polish with pearlescent flakes, which is beautiful on its own, but I wanted to give it more of that cloudy milky look… so I applied a layer of Linen (a sheer milky white) from @cirquecolors, then a layer of Moonstone, followed by another layer of Linen, then another layer of Moonstone, and finally I finished the look by hand placing individual flakes (from the polish) all over the nail (a little bit of a tedious process but oh so worth it, wouldn’t you say)… and voilà, you are left with this more opaque finish, which I think really lets the beauty of Moonstone stand out. But let’s not forget about Alexandrite, because that baby also deserves some attention, it is absolutely gorgeous and drool worthy too 🤤. I’ll be honest, posting something that doesn’t directly address the issues we are currently facing feels odd and out of place. Between racism, police brutality, COVID-19, and people dying from all of these, not to mention the economic crisis, we certainly have a lot of big problems to address and going back to “normal” isn’t really an option right now. We cannot forget, ignore, or set aside these issues because that won’t make them go away! We need to continue to use our voices, and listen, and stand together as a community for as long as it is necessary! A month, a year, 10 years, as long as it takes. However, because we are dealing with so many overwhelming issues, it is more important than ever to decompress every now and then, so that we can keep our sanity and have the mental, emotional, and physical strength to do what we need to do moving forward. All that being said, I hope you guys enjoy this animal print mani! 💅🏻 It is super easy to do, by the way. I used @lightslaquer Tuxedo Mask, and Matilda and Emma from the new YNBB Collection, which has two light, medium, and dark tone nude polishes (6 total), so you can use different combinations of these. I actually almost used Mila and Lyla instead.
