S T A T I O N S

For a few days now I can’t help but notice a little girl. She must be young and yet is left alone, At the train station all by herself.

When I exit the platform onto the train I see her pale skin haunt me, Her eyes pleading with mine as if to warn me. But I can’t help but wonder what the warning is.

As a girl I was always fascinated by train stations. How you would be whisked away to a new Land but now they just seem rather plain And nothing to tease the imagination.

Nothing seems to tease my imagination, but cripple it. Maybe the warming is so, The further I am lost the more vivid the air becomes.

And she waits at that train station Waiting for this train to come even though it won’t. I have cancelled its arrival. And She won’t ever see that light again.
