Ok so like ppl have their own personal sparking lore and it's usually something like "baby but metal" but one thing i do not see as a possibility is molting.

Like consider this for a moment: what if Cybertronians had to like shed plating like crustaceans or insects in order to grow and later in life they just shed like a snake to stay healthy or something. Like it's super dramatic at first but once they're older it's more tame, and also it's very annoying.

It's uncomfortable and it takes forever and Primus forbid that something gets stuck in a joint. It would help make them a little more alien me thinks. Also it would be an absolute spectacle for [insert mandatory human friend main character of your choice here] to witness.

every so often i just go molt my skin from stress and become some other guy
