saw a post that said julian fans try to excuse julian for being possessive and ignore it. I know how possessive he is and I just don’t care.

edwin payne is my favorite character of all time in terms of non-canon autism coding
i love the way that steve yockey — rather than doing what so many show writers have historically done, which is writing in deliberately autistic characters, playing their traits for shits and giggles and then proceeding to deny doing so — explicitly specified that edwin is not autistic, and that if he were he would be played by an autistic actor (which, again, we love because let disabled people play disabled characters, for fucks sake)
and i love the way that just about every autistic person in the fandom basically collectively said “nope he’s ours now” and plopped him into the community anyway
worst case, you’re still stuck down here :) with me :)
me earlier: huh, Wind's Anthem reminds me a lot of Hanaarashi in terms of the strings and vocals, and the strong connection between wind, magic, and personal/literal journeying. if I didn't know better, I'd say that Hanaarashi was the opening to Witch Hat Atelier.
the Wind's Anthem music video:
(also unrelatedly Eve MVs sure do love throwing their characters into the ocean!)
