I’m convinced Jonathan Stroud gave Lucy Carlyle six older sisters in the books simply because that makes Lucy the seventh daughter, as a subtle explanation for her insane powers. Because Lucy Carlyle absolutely does not act like a girl with six older sisters and I’m pretty sure through the whole series, the sisters get like maybe three mentions?? and the only one named is Mary??? and there is nothing about Lucy Carlyle that screams youngest child to me, except for the fact that she runs away from home to London with zero plans and doesn’t go back to visit her family for like 18 months lol.
