Could they be filming some hot-air balloon scenes indoors with green screen? They rarely film scenes in order
yeah, that’s true, they probably are filming out of order (individual scenes for sure, whole blocks/episodes - probable). it’s just that with the trollesund set still being built, i expected them to keep work on this episode/this block for when it’ll be complete - i don’t think it’s usual practice in tv production to work on a block, stop in the middle and then resume work when a set is done
as for balloon scenes - lee actually doesn’t use the balloon until later in the book so that shouldn’t pose a problem for now, unless of course they’ve changed the plot so the balloon does show up early (or of course if my 2-seasons-for-book-1 theory is wrong and s1 really will be the entire first book)
yoyo-inspace replied to your post “i am SO fucking confused about the hdm filming schedule 1. the...”
My guess is indoors-outdoor sets? Or possibly airbaloon scenes.
i actually kind of forgot that ages back, in one of the earlier interviews, it’s been mentioned that they plan to film like 90% of the show in studio
and yet they still put all this effort into building a whole set for trollesund... okay i’m kinda confused again
Summary: Adrian dating a Bimbo!Reader (or a thembo/himbo!reader) | hcs
•Everyone understands why Adrian likes you, you're about as perfect for him as anyone could possibly get, but what always gives people pause is why you like him
•Even he sometimes worries that such an angel like you could never truly love someone who can be so “ghoulish”
•But you find Adrian adorable. His enthusiasm is infectious, he never makes you feel dumb or confused, his unapologetic affection is exactly what you've always wanted in a man
•And he's sweet and earnest, he doesn't sexualize you or try to take advantage of you in any way
•Your relationship is pure fluff and Adrian all too quickly becomes the cheesiest loverboy on the planet
•He's all about romance now that he's dating you, getting you flowers, calling you every pet name ever invented, celebrating every minor anniversary, basically everything he's approximated a loving boyfriend should do
•Your PDA game is crazy, he's always got his arms around you, you’re always leaning into him while you giggle, and there's no such thing as a kiss lasting too long. People around you cringe but you two are on cloud nine
•There's not an inch of either of your faces that has gone unkissed by the other
•You’re the “no, you hang up first” couple, except you’re both a little too compliant so one of you definitely would hang up and ruin the bit
•Quality time is so important to him, every night is date night if he has his way, even if that date is just cuddling up and watching animal documentaries
•And he gets super invested in your interests too, whatever they are he wants to enjoy them alongside you
•There's no one he'd rather talk to, he didn't even realize what his conversations were missing until he felt what it was like to have someone genuinely interested in what he’s saying and eager to hear more
•And when you compliment him on top of that? Pure bliss
•But he does try to avoid mentioning murder too much, he feels like that's the one thing you're not on the same wavelength about
•If you're clueless about things like life skills and housework he's got you, he's also definitely clueless about a lot of that stuff but he'll learn for you
•He’s super protective. It's almost funny how concerned about your naivety he is considering he's so oblivious to his own, but he's very aware that some people would take advantage of you and the thought is maddening
•He’s attached to your hip in public and not just out of affection. You're like too good to be true and he knows that he's not the only one who can see that, of course he's gonna get a bit clingy and paranoid
•Your relationship progresses so quickly, the only thing that stopped him from proposing within the first year is John and Leota talking him out of it, but he bought the ring, he's ready
English dub trailer is here!! Your thoughts, Raven?
You can view the anime’s English dub trailer for yourself here! There were also 5 other dubs announced, including French which implies there is a universe where Rook’s exclamations are “normal”/j unless they change it to him exclaiming stuff in a different language. The other dubs are Portuguese (which we knew about before), Spanish, (Latin American) Spanish, and German.
My thoughts on the English dub trailer:
Interestingly, they replaced the deep-voiced male narrator at the beginning of the trailer with a muuuuch higher pitched and kinda floaty-sounding woman. No opinion on this, the difference just startled me.
Yuuken suits him just fine. Maybe I’m less judgy of him because he only got a JP voice recently, so there’s a lot less VAing of him for me to compare to.
Crowley’s alright too! I like him well enough. I think he has the potential to be way more theatrical.
Grim is too squeaky and lacks the gruff charm of the original. It’s like they translated the sound a dog’s chew toy makes into understandable English.
Riddle’s nice. He has a patience to his voice that’s constantly threatening to spill into a maddening rage at the drop of a hat. Not as heavy of a British accent as I was expecting, but enough of a tinge for it to be noticeable.
Cater mildly sounds like a stoner…
Did Trey huff helium or something🧍♂️ He doesn’t sound like a mature big bro type. I can’t identify the JP VA was announcing Riddle at the tea party (like, was it a mob or was it Trey as the vice dorm leader?), but the EN dub tea party announcer sounded better for Trey’s default voice.
I didn’t realize when Ace ended and where Deuce began; they sound way too similar in the particular voice lines featured in this trailer. Hopefully they’ll be easier to distinguish in the full show.
They used the terms “housewarden” and “arcane academy”, so that seems to confirm to me they’ll definitely use localized terms.
OTHER NEWS!!!
The Blazing Jewel performance will be streamed exclusively on Disney+ from Oct 24 to Nov 7. (So far this seems to be for Disney+ JP only.)
The Blazing Jewel concert will be distributed on a DVD, available for preorder October 14. It will be shipped out March 18.
A TRAILER FOR BOOK 8 OF THE MAIN STORY DROPPED. It features a short animation of Crowley ominously walking up to the Mirror of Darkness and repeating his speech from the beginning of the game.
Book 8, The Forbidden Executor/Enforcer/Executioner (title is vague, sorry), has been announced for January 2026.
An extended PV featuring scenes from books 1 through 7 has also been uploaded.
We hear Crowley, Yuuken, Grim, and the Hearyslabyul boys in the trailer. The full cast list will be up at 9 am PST (~3.5 hours after this post goes live). That cast list will include Yuuken, Grim, Crowley, and all NRC students.
There will be a second announcement closer to October 29 for some other season 1 characters, which I presume will include Chenya.
Anything not disclosed at that point will have to be discovered via watching. (This information comes to us from Mr. Reuben Lack of the Disney English Dubbing team.)
Three minutes into the interview and Hongjoong has already landed himself a gig as Joel's future Seoul tour guide lmao
One thing I wanna point out here is: Joel uses some pretty advanced vocabulary in the beginning, but he adapts pretty quickly once he realizes Hongjoong isn't a native-level English speaker, which is really nice and much appreciated.
Another thing I want to say up front: this interview isn't as funny as some others, but it's well-worth watching, especially if you're interested in the behind-the-scenes, industry-side of things. It's also very palpable how safe Hongjoong felt on this set and with the people present.
It's always interesting to me when I hear people from other countries talk about how proud they are when their culture is internationally celebrated - definitely one of the few experiences I can very much understand but not relate to. Though I guess that just comes with being German - the only parts of this country I'm willing to praise are the baked goods, Coldmirror, and Bernd das Brot. I'm serious - don't come here unless you want to foster advanced depression and have the life sucked out of you.
Brief rant on that front: look at how fucking ugly 90% of "my" country is. And it's only THIS bad because some absolute morons chose to blow up even the remaining few relics of beautiful pre-war architecture we still had after WWII, just so they could replace it with brutalist cement blocks (yeah, Germany wasn't just destroyed by the allies - whose soldiers raped and abused a fuckton of civilians by the way, including my own great-grandmother - no, Germans themselves also kept destroying it after the war):
[Clip source - highly recommend this video if you speak German btw.]
Top that insult to our eyes off with the current political climate, a school system that actively works to kill creativity, a failing healthcare system, increasing economic inequality, some of the worst bureaucracy hurdles on the fucking globe, nation-wide collapsing structures from the 70s that don't get funding for repairs, and flourishing private equity activities and you've got a pretty good idea what living in this country is like right now.
Though mind you, I grew up in a part of Northern Bavaria with some of the highest child poverty rates in the country so I'm probably biased when it comes to how much I've always fucking hated living here. Though I'm not even sure there's any country that's pleasant to live in right now unless you're rich.
Really nice to see two artists from two different generations talk about their creative process and find shared experiences with such ease. It truly goes to show that, no matter the age and the type of music or art you make, creativity has always been and will forever be unchangingly, intrinsically human and finding inspiration simply isn't something you can perfect. It'll forever be something you have to search or wait for.
It really is a privilege that they can go look for a new spark all over the world though. I wish that were an option available to everyone.
It makes a ton of sense that Hongjoong comes from a family with two super hardworking parents - definitely helps explain his own strong work ethic!
Lowkey hilarious to hear him talk about how surprised he was to find out Dallas really has that cowboy vibe going and it's not just a movie-thing.
But bro, if Hongjoong genuinely puts out a country-kpop fusion typa song some day, I just know it'd become the biggest meme over on TikTok. Like, that audio would be used far and wide for the absolute goofiest edits, even if it's an absolute banger. Gen Z and country are a match made in the circus.
And once again our boy has to retell his origin story like he's on a press tour promoting a movie about his career path lmao - props to him for never looking like he's getting sick of it. And hey, maybe he actually isn't!
Hongjoong: "I think one person in that company [KQ] had a strong believe in me, but I don't know why. Yeah, still."
Joel: "Well, they were right. The success says..."
Hongjoong: "Yeah. I am thankful to my boss and everyone in my company."
Joel: "Do you use Kpop star or idol?"
HJ: "So in Korea, we use both."
Joel: "Both? Okay. What's cooler?"
HJ, starts smiling: "What's cooler to me?"
Joel, grinning: "Yeah."
HJ: "I think- I'm not answering."
*staff giggling in the background*
Joel, laughing: "Smart man!"
Not Joel immediately proceeding to call Hongjoong a "Kpop King" lmaoooo
Loooove how Hongjoong immediately responded to Joel's question about Kpop industry insights with "Today, I can tell you everything!" and then launched into explaining - our Captain is so ready to drop knowledge at all times.
So here's a list of what he shared:
It's not really wrong to assume Kpop artists work 24/7 since they do work a ton to put out just one thing, but he believes the same is true for Western artists as well.
The key to the industry lies in speed - finding the best timing and putting things out quickly in order to not be forgotten among the many new groups who debut each year.
You cannot lose quality, regardless of how fast you work.
You need to know how to express your work to the audience.
Hongjoong believes one of the reasons Kpop took off so much when it did is that it can keep up with the rapid-fire consumption cycle promoted by TikTok and such, but he also thinks there are American artists doing the same now.
It's really cool to hear Joel share his insights from his early days as well - from back when he and his band didn't have a record deal yet. That struggle to build connections with small venue owners, find places to record and practice etc. When I compare that to stories Twenty One Pilots and Drew Gooden have shared, you can really tell that part of the US music scene has never changed, despite the decades that have passed.
I love how Joel also immediately realized why the Kpop industry is so efficient - they've streamlined the process for their artists. I mean, just look at the promotion cycle: all the shows dedicated to comeback stages ('The Show', 'Inkigayo', 'M-Countdown') and promoting a new album ('2N1D', 'Idol Radio', 'Idol Human Theater').
Add to that the existence of Fromm, Weverse, lightsticks, photocards, pop-up shops, fanmeets, all the award shows and festivals and so on, and you have an absolutely massive complex spanning across various types of industrial sectors in which fans, artists, and sponsors alike all know how everything operates - specialized vocabulary and all.
Joel: "The other thing I like about what you're saying about other artists - they can take a page from the Kpop playbook, right? Because it's worked."
HJ: "Yeah."
Joel: "Right? You've seen it. We've seen it. And so people can learn."
Oh, I love that Joel also brings in the psychological aspect! Because yeah, as a young artist, if you have a dream and you work hard for it, that's one thing - but if the people around you don't take you seriously, that puts a MASSIVE hurdle on your path forward, because you really need support from somewhere, someone who's willing to give you chances and opportunities to prove yourself.
Though now yes, Kpop companies do offer opportunities and a way into the industry, that's true, but I don't think Joel knows how predatory the vast majority of these Kpop companies are. But how could he, right? He's said himself he doesn't know much about the industry beyond seeing it from afar.
In an ideal world though, he'd be 100% right - the Kpop approach would be the way to go. We'd just need all the CEOs and staff to be good people who actually care about their artists as human beings.
I do love that Hongjoong replied by saying, when they debuted, it was the company who told them 'we'll do this, we'll promote here, book that venue, have a show there', but now it's the company approaching them with 'we're thinking about booking that venue' and the members going 'why?', because they've had the chance to gain the experience needed to make good choices for themselves, unlike before when they were clueless trainees who needed a lot of guidance.
Joel: "So it's a partnership that really works and you've got the experience - 'cause you're out there - to come back and say: 'Actually, this one. We were there, this is how it is-' And you work together."
HJ: "Yeah, that's right."
It's really nice to hear Hongjoong say that, some day, he wants to work on an album for a full year or two, completely based on his own vision and with no company guidance involved. I think that would be cool as hell.
Brief interlude: the way Joel told Hongjoong about bumping into Chase Atlantic on the way in~
Mh, super nice to also listen to Hongjoong explain how he's been exploring who he is as an artist outside of Ateez - finding his own color, his own flavor - because wherever he goes, he's always "Ateez's Hongjoong" and he wants to get to know himself and his tastes better so it can help him work with others as well.
I also really enjoy that air of kinship when Joel agrees wholeheartedly.
Joel: "I think it's very natural. When you give so much time to a group, every part of the group matters, you know? So to do something as a group, it's like- Being in a band, right? There's five of us and we're all in, we're going together - we have to rehearse, we have to do this, have to do that - and then you give years...
"What people don't understand is that when you give what it takes to be great, it takes everything. To be great. It's like a professional sports kind of thing. Like to be great, to be on the big stage, to succeed, you have to give everything. What you sacrifice is everything.
"It's natural at some point - especially around your age - that you do have a moment where you stop and go 'who am I?' I'm the same guy who started, but I'm ten years older, so here I am. And sometimes, your mind goes toward like what you said: 'I wonder what I would create?'
"The thing I will say that's like, just from my... It's not advice! Just my experience-"
HJ: "I want to get that."
Joel: "-Is that it's good. And every group should understand that. The better we are alone, the better we are together. Right? So if I'm not healthy alone, I won't be as healthy with you."
HJ: "Right. That's right."
It's nice to hear Hongjoong admit that, recently, the members have all been starting to talk about what they'll do when their career inevitably starts taking a dip since thus far, they've always been growing - at different rates, yes, but it's never gone down before - so what will they do when it happens?
Joel: "I think what you've said before is the cure. I think if you just know yourself and continue to ask 'who am I in this and out of this?'- They both matter and they both need one another. Like, you out of this needs you in this. And you in Ateez needs Hongjoong out[side] of Ateez. And the more you continue your relationship with both, the more you'll be able to navigate when, let's say, a moment happens where you put something out there and it's disappointing. If you know who you are, you won't look at it as negative."
It's reassuring to hear Hongjoong say all the members have already been talking to each other about finding that balance between being a part of Ateez and being individuals outside of that as well.
And it's so cute to hear him say that, when they practice these days, they go over the choreo two, three times before they just gather in a circle at the center of the room and talk about whatever has been worrying them or important stuff they want to discuss.
Also super good to hear it was the members who took a vote on wanting that two, three week long break earlier this year before they took it to the boss and said "We have an idea! We want to do it like this - what do you think?" and then they discussed the plans for after the break all together to ensure things would go smoothly.
It's sweet how Hongjoong also made sure to reiterate that he feels the same as Joel when it comes to all of this - and that Joel made it a point to say he respects Kpop artists and how hard they work to succeed in the industry.
Also wonderful to hear Hongjoong say he wants more Kpop artists to come on this show so they can share their thinking and experiences with Western audiences and give that insight into what it's really like to be an idol.
A minute later and the conversation somehow spiraled into this:
Joel, pulling up his cue cards: "Here, let me read you some of your accomplishments."
Hongjoong: *laughs*
Joel: "Not that you want to hear them."
Hongjoong, turning toward the staff: "I'm out for five minutes."
*staff laughing in the background*
Hongjoong: "Yeah, if he reads off my history-"
Joel, still shuffling around his cards: "Yeah, that's right."
Hongjoong: "Cuz I get a little shy. I love it, but I get a little shy."
*staff cooing*
Joel: "Well, you've accomplished a lot."
Somebody safe our squirrel - he's being forced to listen to how incredible he is!
No, but genuinely, this is so, so cute!
Joel: "I say all this to say: in music, to have one hit or to have one sold out tour- To do one thing at the highest level is very hard. To have a career has taken you everything you have. You've had to give it all. Also! Think about it: you're the first trainee at the company. You're the captain of the group."
HJ: "Ateez."
Joel: "And you're still here. And you're still in the world. And you haven't lost your mind."
Hongjoong: *giggling*
Joel, smiling: "Mm, you know? A little bit, but you're okay."
Joel: "But I'm just saying, do you ever stop and like, pat yourself on the back and go like: 'That kid who was sixteen or fifteen that no one knew had to believe in himself to start down the road.' I don't know, I just think that, when you're in it, you may not stop to realize what you've accomplished... And what it's taken, you know?"
HJ: "Mm, yeah. I'm gonna cry."
Joel: "Yeah."
Staff off-screen: "Oww."
I love how Hongjoong was all serious when he said he was proud of his work and all the accomplishments Joel just read out, only for Joel to immediately jump in with "There's more. Balmain? I wanna be a Balmain-" and then Hongjoong just starts cackling again.
Joel: "Balmain's baller, dude!"
And of course, Hongjoong being Hongjoong, can't talk about being proud of his achievements without saying it's because of his fans.
HJ: "When I go up, I'm with our members and our fans, but if I go down, I trust my fans that they'll still look forward to my next step."
Once again love Joel telling Hongjoong he likes that 15-year-old kid who went to the post office and sent off those CDs to record companies in Korea because no one told that kid to do that - he just went and did it.
HJ, laughing: "I like that kid too."
Joel: "Yeah, he's cool! And Balmain likes that kid too!"
Love, love, love Joel taking the time to tell Hongjoong that he's still so young and got so much of his career ahead of him so he wants to encourage him to keep being that kid who went to the post office.
Joel: "I also respect how much loyalty you have to your company. It says a lot about you."
HJ: "Yeah, you know our boss? He always told me 'I really love you'. He was always like 'Without you, how could any of this be like it is?' Actually, at some point I thought like that too - me, I did great at the time.
"But after a few years, I realized how our members and our company trusted me too, so that was a big thing in my opinion. I trusted myself that day, but after that, everyone around me trusted me too. So I'm really thankful for that. That's why I can do my own thing with confidence."
So cute how Joel was like "everyone in a team has their role" and Hongjoong replied "actually, I think our group is a little weird when it comes to that - all of them have like twenty jobs".
HJ: "Our vocal members are really good at rap, so sometimes I have that fear: if they rap better than me, what can I do?"
Joel: "It's good competition."
And now, we're slowly approaching the closing segment...
Joel: "I really loved getting to hang out with you."
Hongjoong once again tells him to come to Korea, only for Joel to get a squeaky tone when he says "I might actually do that" and "you don't have to hang out with me the whole time" and "I won't be too much trouble" ölaksjdflöaksjdölaksjdla
Really nice to hear Hongjoong say he's not afraid of where they might be in 10 years since they already spent 10 years in the industry and it went by quick, so he doesn't think it'll be too different from now. He knows he'll still be with the members and he'll continue to try and make the best decisions for all of them and their fans, and even when they do solo work, they'll always come back to being Ateez.
HJ: "Thank you so much for having me. I think this time here made me a better person."
Joel: "Me too."
HJ: "'Cause I love the advice you gave me, because I always need that advice. I don't have that many others around me."
Joel: "I felt like today was cool, because I always wanted to get a real, true kind of inside take on the Kpop life, which I think is really cool."
HJ: "I think I never show this kind of conversation to our fans, so it was a very good time to me too. It was really cool."
Joel: "It's really cool."
HJ: "Yeah."
Joel: "Kpop's cool, man."
HJ:
Joel: "And I wouldn't limit you to that. It's where you're from and what you represent. I'm not saying you're only Kpop. I don't want you to think I'm boxing you in, but as an artist, a producer, a performer, where you come from is really important and you represent it really well."
HJ: "Yeah, I love that too, 'cause I don't know where to where is Kpop these days."
And now that we're at the end, Hongjoong is being cute again and saying he'll come back if he ever has more concerns or more pages of his story to talk about and Joel immediately goes "any time!"
✧˖° How would the TFC feel about your OCs challenge! ✧˖°
Haha. I just really wanted to make a post about my OCs and TFC and I said why not combine it? I made it into a little challenge just so if anyone wants to do a similiar thing they can participate! (and also so I can see even more OCs...) P.S Your OCs could be fan OCs or just regular! It doesn't matter! Put your sonas even!
This will include my BTE (Before The Eclipse) OCs! They are from an original story I am making. I finally got the chance to visualise them after 2 years worth of redesigning them a thousand times </3 This is totally not an excuse to show their designs ahem ahem...
(I just realised I did NOT put any of my male characters here oh my Gods. I promise the story will have lots of diverse characters, I didn't realise I just put my female characters here on this challenge only haha!)
Amelia is one of the chosen Dreamers of the Dream World, who's main job is to defeat Agonies and prepare the Eclipse party. She is a sun chosen, which means
she is blessed by the sun's powers to protect. Every night when they fall asleep, she and her old friend Wayne, go into the Dream World to do their job (not
voluntarily). She is insecure about herself and all she does, so she always strives to be cool-headed and confident and the Dream World is the perfect place for her to do so without
fear. Not that she isn't popular in the real world… she is her academies number one party girl. But did she always want that?
Harleyquinn would find her cool at first and would like her sense of style and badass moments but would soon start to relate to her constant wearing of her social
mask. He would never admit that and will try to avoid talking too deeply about her character but he would definitely secretly kin her.
Helena is a lost soul who wonders the Dream World forest in search of her lost lover. She escaped a purgatory bubble and in her search was sadly infected
by an Agony, not enough to lose her mind but enough to make her a monster. Her lantern is the only thing sustaining her mental state and for it to
keep on shining it needs fuel… fuel in the form of other souls. Her morals are long broken, the only thing leading her is the thought of reuniting with her
beloved, even if the Dream world mocks that with illusions.
Pierrot would feel saddened once he understands her story. He would relate with the search of her beloved and her unwanted monster form. He would definitely cry
every time she gets a flashback of her past. He would be bittersweet about how her story ends and if he knew about AO3, would most likely read domestic fanfics
of her and her girlfriend in a different life.
Rosé is a mysterious figure in the Dream World. It is not known if she is a Dreamer of a resident of the Dream World, she appears every time the Dreamers are in a
dire situations. She usually can be found in the middle of the forest, roses all around, sitting at a tea table with a drink in hand. The tea she gives to the dreamers
has a liquid similar to the Agony goo but with a regenerative effect on the user and nowhere maddening like the actual Agony's dark substance.
She is a passive entity who's only rules are to respect her domain it seems. Though she has a strange connection to the Apple guardians it seems…
Jester would find her intriguing. Every time she shows up he would linger on her every gesture and try to solve her like solving the story of a crime novel.
He respects the mystery of her character, he'll most likely not guess her origin early on but as the story progresses he'll be satisfied with what he finds.
Phoebe is a history of art teacher in Amelia and Wayne's academy. She is surprisingly young for a teacher in the academy but she treats everyone kindly so
they treat her the same. Not that there are not instances where a student misbehaves… but usually when that happens they are brought right back into place by
Phoebe. She is kind, yes, but no one disrespects her in her class, unless they want to see her strict side, which is not something any student in the academy
wants to see. Outside of work she owns a flower shop with her grandma, Svetla. At work she is known as the proper and kind teacher, but at her shop she can get quite
nervous and shy, which is surprising for every student that accidently encounters her. Well… almost every student except one.
Ticket Taker's reason for liking her character is mainly because of her strict behavior when a student disobeys her. He respects her rule keeping and the kind effect she has on every student. Simple as that.

This change in consciousness tore Toothless from the Red Death's control, and he immediately rushed to his and Hiccup's safe place
He could not have imagined that after so many years he would find himself under the influence of a dragon again
Toothless tries not to panic and analyze the situation
He was in the nest, the eel-face alpha is alive, and his tail is intact
He feels a divine touch in the air and is almost certain he's been transported back to the past
He only hopes that his human self will be with him
Toothless doesn't know what he'll do if Hiccup isn't around
Luckily, Toothless quickly find out that he was not alone, because his human self was also in their bay, seemingly trying to cope with his panic
***
Hiccup doesn't know what to do
He's in the past, with his dragon self, and they can make things better this time
But Hiccup can't stop worrying that they'll make things worse instead
He has no idea how to reconcile his tribe with the dragons without exposing them to the Red Death
Because he's not going to risk anyone
He's quite confident in his and Toothless's ability to handle it, but it's still a risk
So much could go wrong, especially without the events that preceded the end of Berk's feud with the dragons
Of course, he can do without some (Toothless' capture and injury, or his father's disowning him), but he's fully aware that losing threads in the interweaving of events can affect the overall picture woven by the Norns
But what else can they do?
Hiccup doesn't think they'll listen to him because right now, in the eyes of the tribe, he's Hiccup the Useless
And he's too overwhelmed by events and memories to formulate any kind of decent plan of action that wouldn't make him look like a traitor or a madman
Or both
Even though he knows that showing his father and the people of Berk the Red Death in all her horror would be the simplest and most reliable path, he doesn't forget that Hork was burned on his right side, Wart was left lame, and Phlegma damaged her lungs and was never able to fully restore the ability to breathe as she had before that day in the nest
And that's if Hiccup didn't take into account the nightmares he was sure many suffered from. He knew for a fact that his friends, his father, and Gobber continued to have them for many years after the Red Death's defeat
He certainly never stopped having nightmares about this
So yeah
It may have seemed like an easy way for the people of Berk to understand that dragons weren't mindless, destructive beasts, but the simplicity of the path does not make it right (or entirely reliable)
Hiccup ponders this all month, during which he's managed to make a saddle and free the dragons from the tyranny of a maddened alpha, because he's not going to leave dragons to suffer and die when he can help
The day of the tribes meeting arrives. Usually, it was a typical gossip session, but this time they have a more serious topic to discuss:
The dragons have almost disappeared from sight and no one knows what caused this change
No one really pays attention to the new faces, as smaller tribes may also be present
But Hiccup does
And it's a good thing he wasn't drinking anything when the newcomers entered, because otherwise he would have definitely choked
Because he's certain Viggo fucking Grimborn shouldn't be here
Could he have been like him? Remembering a possible future? Or is this all a chain reaction to the fact that he killed the Red Death earlier?
Hiccup is plagued by doubts while Viggo talks to the leaders and establishes connections
Any of which vanish when Viggo's gaze lands on him. Such a cascade of emotions can't come from a first meeting
But Hiccup himself notices a glimmer of uncertainty in Viggo's eyes
Yeah, he can understand why
His body is used to slouching, and though he's more confident than he was at that age, his body language screams of desire to hide, and he looks nothing like the riders leader Viggo first saw
Few notice their intense gaze and a strange tension that subsides with a teenager's slight grin and a question that sounds like an invitation
Hello! I hope you're doing great. If your requests are still open I'd like to add something.
Since the new obey me game came out I'm starving for some smut based off the new cards we got. So I'd like to request Lucifer x gn afab!reader smut based on one of the new cards (whichever you prefer).
And if you don't know any of his card stories that's fine, it doesn't necessarily have to be cards inspired (from what I've seen so far Lucifer likes having MC in his lap 👀 you can use that).
So actually I’ve been so focused on Mammon I didn’t pay attention when Karasu was explaining how to do shit. But I can definitely do some lap sitting! (And more…) And when I finally focus on the other brothers in the game I will give you a card inspired fic eventually.
Also this was at the bottom of my queue. Then i moved it to the top. Then i woke up and decided it needed to post NOW, not later.
A Demon’s Divided Attention
lucifer x gn afab!reader (i hope i did this right cause…i struggled a little to understand how to do this)

Being married to Lucifer was difficult sometimes. Not because Lucifer himself was difficult, although he was a bit stubborn at times. What was difficult was how involved he was in his work. You had grown used to how close him and Lord Diavolo were, although sometimes you wished you could have a fraction of that attention.
But Lucifer, in his own way, had found a solution. It was a solution that was uniquely his—practical, possessive, and utterly overwhelming.
That’s how you found yourself now, perched on his lap in his grand office chair, his thick cock buried deep inside you. You were warm, full, and completely still, just as he’d instructed. He had a stack of paperwork on his desk that seemed to multiply every time you blinked, and his attention was entirely focused on it. The only sounds in the room were the scratching of his pen and your own soft, hitched breaths.
You rested your head against his chest, the expensive wool of his suit a familiar comfort under your cheek. His arm was wrapped securely around your waist, a silent anchor. But his other hand… his other hand had drifted down between your legs. His long, elegant fingers rested against your clit, not moving, just a heavy, promising presence. It was a constant, low-level thrum of potential energy that made your entire body feel like a live wire.
You tried to stay still, to be the good, quiet partner he needed you to be. But after twenty minutes, your hips gave a tiny, involuntary twitch.
Instantly, his fingers began to move.
It wasn't a frantic or demanding motion. It was slow, absentminded, like he was swirling a brandy in a glass while his mind was miles away, lost in a report on inter-realm trade tariffs. He circled your clit with a lazy, relentless pressure that sent sparks shooting up your spine.
You gasped, your hands gripping the lapels of his jacket. "Lucifer," you whispered, a plea and a warning all in one.
"Shh," he murmured, his voice a low, distracted rumble. He didn't even look down at you. "Almost finished with this section."
But his fingers didn't stop. The slow, maddening circles continued, expertly stoking the fire he’d just ignited. Your breathing grew ragged, your thighs trembling. You were trapped, impaled on his cock while he methodically worked you towards a cliff edge with a casualness that was infuriating and so incredibly hot.
The pressure built, a slow, inexorable tide. Your hips began to rock against his hand of their own accord, seeking more friction, more of that perfect, torturous pleasure.
"Lucifer, please," you whimpered, tears of frustration pricking your eyes. You were so close.
His response was to press down a little harder, to swirl a little faster. The pen in his other hand never stopped scratching. The dichotomy was enough to shatter you. With a sharp cry, you came, your inner walls clenching tightly around his cock. It was a sharp, intense orgasm that stole the air from your lungs.
He didn't even pause. His fingers just kept moving, drawing out your pleasure until you were a boneless, panting mess against his chest. Only then did they still, returning to their resting place as if nothing had happened.
"Good," he said, finally setting down that particular sheet of paper and picking up another. "Now, be still. The next part requires my full concentration."
You wanted to protest, to tell him you were too sensitive, but you knew it was useless. This was his way. His work was his world, and you were his favorite, most necessary distraction. So you closed your eyes and tried to will your body back into a state of rest.
But ten minutes later, his fingers began to move again.
This time, it was a different pattern. A back-and-forth flicking motion that was somehow even more intense than the circles. You sobbed, your body arching against him. It was too much. The overstimulation was a sharp, exquisite pain.
"Lucifer," you cried, a tear finally escaping and sliding down your cheek. "I can't… I can't again."
That got his attention. He finally set his pen down, the clatter of it on the desk loud in the quiet room. His hand stilled between your legs, and he used his free hand to gently cup your chin, tilting your face up to his. His crimson eyes, usually so sharp and focused, were soft as they took in your tear-streaked face.
"Oh, my love," he murmured, his voice laced with a rare, tender regret. He leaned down and captured the tear track with his tongue, a slow, deliberate swipe that made you shudder. "Have I been neglecting you?"
He didn't wait for an answer. He shifted in the chair, his grip on your waist tightening. "Hold on to me," he commanded softly.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, clinging to him as he lifted you, just an inch, before letting you sink back down onto his cock. He did it again, a slow, deliberate bounce. The movement was completely different from the maddeningly still cock-warming. This was a claim. This was pure, unadulterated possession.
He set a steady, deep rhythm, lifting you up and down on his lap. Each downward thrust had him hitting that perfect spot deep inside, the one that made your toes curl. His fingers returned to your clit, but this time they were moving with purpose, in time with his thrusts, pushing you relentlessly towards another peak.
"That's it," he growled, his voice a low, possessive rumble against your ear. "Let go for me again. Let me feel you."
You were helpless to resist. The third orgasm crashed over you, different from the others. It was a deep, rolling wave of pleasure that seemed to go on forever. Your vision blurred, your body convulsing around him as he finally let himself go, his own release a hot, deep pulse inside you.
For a moment, you both just breathed, the only sound in the office your combined gasps for air. He held you close, his face buried in your hair.
He gently lifted you off his lap, his care a stark contrast to his earlier ruthlessness. He stood and carried you to the plush chaise lounge in the corner of his office, laying you down with a reverence that made your heart ache. He disappeared for a moment, returning with a warm, damp cloth to gently clean you up.
Then he lay down beside you, pulling you into his arms and kissing you softly, a deep, languid kiss that tasted of apology and adoration.
"I am finished with my work for the day," he murmured against your lips. "Now, the rest of the night belongs only to you."
Honey - you reminded him of honey. Sweet, perfect and entirely trapping.
Every moment he spent with you he felt like he was swimming in syrup. Every moment was a test of his control to not reach out and touch you, to push a lock of hair off your face, to pull you in for a kiss-
But you weren’t his to touch.
He’d spent countless hours planning how he would court you, the fragrant bouquets, the intricate jewellery, the nights he’d make sure you’d remember forever. He’d even planned further than that, what titles he’d give you, which sons he’d assign to you, honeymooning on Macragge - all for nothing.
Of all the men on Terra, of all his brothers, how you had ended up with Curze of all people absolutely maddened and astounded him. Sanguinius, Horus, Corvus even - anyone else he might be able to rationalise, to understand, but…
There had to be an explanation.
Theoretical: you were coerced. You couldn’t say no to a primarch. You aren’t happy with Curze. You want him inste-
Practical: he should do something about it.
The consequences? Likely an irreparable rift between him and his brother - if not an outright fight, perhaps even more fall out from the rest of them too.
Such actions would be serious, dire even, and he would be outright jeopardising everything they’d all worked for over a baseline. Not just a baseline, not to him.
It surprised him a little that he didn’t care.
If he had to spend one more formal dinner with you sitting far away down the table next to him and dressed in his blue rather than his own, he was going to snap.
He’d make sure those dark midnight blues would be switched to ultramarine, the silver accents to gold - and he was going to ban red entirely from your wardrobe.
He knew exactly what he was going to do with you once he had you. How he’d lavish you, ensure the finest for you, how he’d grab your hips and-
He almost thanked the Emperor aloud for the presence of the table that was hiding his growing erection. Thankfully, countless hours of diplomacy and practice kept his face schooled neutrally and absent words flowing from his lips.
He needed to regain control quickly before he lost composure, after all, there was work to be done.
He knew what he was going to do with you, that would come later. Right now he needed to plan how he was going to achieve his goals.
Theoretical: convince the Imperium Curze is mad and unfit to serve, make him break before I do.
Practical: he could definitely persuade some, if not most, of his brothers that there’s something wrong with your relationship.
Everyone already knows Curze has a madness simmering beneath the surface - he needs to exacerbate it, make it worse, make him snap.
Curze was barely a man compared to him, to what he could provide you. You’d see soon enough, you’d see and be so thankful to him. He’d save you, soon, soon.
