If you ever want to simulate the feeling of being kicked in the teeth by a horse just look up Heroes of Olympus fancasts on Google Images.
I am so...devastated
Are you leaving CS? 🥺🥺🥺
Ok. Let me start by saying that I did not want another jerk-type knee-jerk reaction to this, so I let it hang out in my asks for awhile and even debated not answering it. Because, let’s be honest, I have answered this before. Last week, in fact. So, this is the last time I’m going to do this.
No.
That’s it. That’s the answer.
Listen, anon, I get this is (presumably) coming from a place of nice and concerned, but it also reads a little like...why are you liking other things???? Because I like dudes with dark curly hair and there are lots of TV shows with dudes who look like that. Liking The 100, watching The 100, writing fic for The 100 does not, in any way, detract from my ability to like other things as well, whether that’s CS or an entirely different fandom.
This has never been a just CS blog. It is a proud multi-fandom mess where I flail in my tags and ignore typos and shout about fictional characters making out while I also have a lot feelings about professional hockey players. And that’s not going to change. Has there been an influx of things tagged laura spirals over bellamy blakes curls? Yes, obviously. Because I am. And I’m enjoying the hell out of it.
If that’s not something you will also enjoy, then you can blacklist that tag or you can unfollow. Honestly. And I don’t mean that to sound abrasive or short, but if you’re not all that into what I’m posting, you don’t have to be. It’s cool.
As I’ve said before, you will never get a I’M DONE WRITING CAPTAIN SWAN FIC post from me. It’s not my style. And if you want to read something I have written, but haven’t posted yet, just message me. I will send it to you. I swear.
Listen, part two. I am a full supporter of write what you love, write for yourself, flail about the things that you want to. And I do all of those. But writing what I love - including Captain Swan - is way different from posting it or sharing it. i write for myself. I post it with the hope that other people will enjoy it. And, more often than not recently, that simply hasn’t seemed like the case. This is not a whoa is me spiel and, again, throwing no one under the bus here, but I’m more apt to hold onto my stuff if people (including people whose opinion I really valued at the time) aren’t all that interested.
I will continue to be a multi-fandom, typo-filled mess on this website. I will still want an ordinate amount of fictional couples to make out. And just because I’m flailing over more than one thing does not mean I’ve handed in my Laura ships Captain Swan card. I never got one, so, that’d be a silly thing to do.
