Duality at Trinity
It was a marvel to experience. Trinity, as the three suns of Scarlet IV were called, would be lined up in perfect synchronization in 18 minutes Earth time. This spectacle only occurred once every couple of millenniums. Of course, to many, Trinity was a spiritual event that marked when the realm of the gods touched that of the mortal world. It worked wonders for the planet's tourism since people of all races and galaxies were drawn to it like light would attract a fly.
There would be traditional dancing, food, activities, and of course, everyone's favourite but hidden, drugs. All seven of the scarlet planets were known for their native elements that caused just the right kind of buzz. In more primitive times, these various elements were used to 'see the gods'. There was no doubt that tonight would uncover that long lost tradition..
But that wasn't any concern of Raul's. The man walked up the red cobble steps of the city's centre and observed the events for himself. The air was high with energy and excitement. Green, six limbed creatures entertained the planet's guests through dance; children were eating questionable pieces of fruit and meat on a stick, thick with a shiny coat of candy gloss; and merchants were bordering the premises, trapping all in the massive centre to buy their religious goods or be 'disappointed you went without'.
Raul was merely here to observe and leave. He would take a look at some trinkets many claimed could channel the gods' energy and read up on them later. Though he didn't fit in to most cultures, he was certainly interested in learning about them.
