The thing with hbomberguy vids is that I am very used to watching/listening to video essays that don’t directly involve me. History, lost media, analyzing books. So when I watch a hbombguy vid when he starts out it feels like another video like that, only to get smacked in the face by somehow it being involved in my life.
Every time.
When I watch something by like, Sarah Z, I EXPECT it to be topics that matter on a grander scale. But THIS GUY!! Every time!! Something that I wouldn’t expect!!! AAAAAAA!
It’s good for me tbh, in a world where it’s so easy to feel helpless and like you can’t do anything. To be reminded that HEY! Actually this stuff involves you!!! And you CAN do something!!! You can make a difference, it’s small but it’s there!
