And here we go! Second fanart for Linked in Life and Love! This time from the very beginning. I wanted to draw the Aura sight that's described in the fic for so long... Of course I had to go for that beautifully angsty moment of connexion.

First Lilal chapter since the season finale, so now I get to forgot that Ironwood is a dick in this AU, which is nice. My guess is that the team Ozpin and Ironwood are forming is gonna be called PINC, because colors and stuff.

Team PINC is battling some sort of bad guy, Ciel gets to make the finishing blow, and - in an effort to demonstrate that she can in fact "lighten up" - she announces her finisher by proclaiming "your fate is Cieled!"

Cue a facepalm from Neo and a confused look from Ilia

Penny is also confused for a moment, until she Gets It and starts laughing... at which point Ilia Gets It too and joins Neo in facepalming

So Ciel's puns have a 33.3...% success rate among her girls. Which at least means she's doing better than Weiss

Obviously LiLaL!Roman's backstory is nothing like canon!Roman's backstory but I wish it was canon because (LiLaL spoilers)

imagine you're a criminal and suddenly all your heists are getting foiled by this one kid who looks exactly like your dead sister who basically raised you, who you've been putting on a pedestal since you were eight years old, and whose disappearance was the reason why you threw your entire life away and became a criminal in the first place, and also sometimes there's a second kid that looks like a blonde version of your dead sister's terrifying wife

and they can't actually be your nieces because you very deliberately distanced yourself from the entire STRQ family after your sister disappeared and if you really were suddenly running into them over and over again, you'd think the Brothers were personally fucking with you

LiLaL!Roman did switch sides shortly after the rally with the Paladin, but if canon!Roman had the same backstory, by the time the Volume 3 finale rolled around, forget the Gryphon he'd be a magnet for every Grimm in the Kingdom of Vale

Neo knows how to drive

Neo does not have a driving license

Somewhere in that Long List of Crimes that Ozpin pardoned Roman for is two full pages of traffic violations that happened when Roman was teaching Neo to drive

The problem with reading fanfiction is that sometimes you get really attached to a particular fic's take on a character, to the point that they basically take up rent-free residence in your cerebellum and you end up thinking of that version before you think of the canon one and yes this is about my favorite version of Roman Torchwick again
