Thought it would be cool to do as many examples of different kinds of kissing with my OCs as possible, so starting off the bunch have the ever amorous Lucy. Top to bottom we have:

What are the relationships among Hestia's gods, and how do those relationships affect the way they interact with/use Hestia?

Hestia has stronger connections with Hades, Persephone, Hermes, and Hestia (go figure). Her weakest connections/who she butts heads with most are Zeus, Apollo, and Dionysus after she turns 23. 

The gods themselves are kind of your standard brother/sister antagonism - they treat Hestia both as a member of the family and as a plaything “no it’s MY TURN.” types of arguments.

The stronger a bond the easier it is for Hestia to reach out to them and utilize their powers. It’s also easier for that god to utilize Hestia but its sort of a Catch-22 because they’re also aware of how frustrating that can be for her and because they respect her they’re slightly less likely to just jump in. However, other gods who are worshiped more or given more attention are able to harbor more power and use that as a means of using HEstia. So even tho Persephone has a stronger relationship with Hestia, she’s a less powerful god than Zeus who has a more powerful position in the Pantheon and more “followers”. Despite Zeus not having a strong relationship with Hestia they are both about even in their ability to use Hestia to interact with the world at large because of their connections/power.

sometimes the gods will argue over whose ‘turn’ it is to use HEstia and if too many of the gods crop up in her headspace she’s liable to just collapse or turn comatose. In order to avoid that Hades or Persephone are most likely to step forward to wrest control from others and let them argue outside of Hestia’s brain. 

These aren’t common occurrences after she’s turned 15. She’s set the logic down and has made her argument convincingly enough that when a god “requests” a visit to Earth she can explain why they should wait or not and is able to set ground rules for most visits.

Which gods are connected to Hestia?

Hestia is connected to the Grecian gods (and not the Roman interpretations either - there are alternate Vessels for Roman interpretations) - the most powerful are the most capable of taking over her awareness. Basically the top 15 can do that - the other gods have to be invited in.

Her strongest relationships are with Hades and Persephone who used to visit her alongside her hallucinations. These are the two most supportive and see Hestia through a lot of trouble.

Who the heck is "R?"

R is Juliet’s boyfriend. His last name was something like Romero (ayyyy) which is what he was referred to more often than not - they shortened it to R eventually. He was shot and killed in a random drive by when they were about to leave the city together for good. She takes it hard, gets a tattoo to commemorate their relationship.

And then raises him from the dead.

Describe your characters' sense of humor!!

Can do! :D This was a bit tricky for some but it helped me actually THINK about it for those OC’s so yay! Thank’s dude.

Lucy: Lucy has quite an innocent sence of humour for the most part buuut she can coyly enjoy adult humour too. Most people will double-take at this because “did LUCY - little sweet LUCY - make a rude double entendre just then??” She’s definitely the kind to go along with and laugh at jokes that she doesn’t actually get because she wants to feel included. Does NOT like to laugh at other people’s misfortune. If nobody is hurt and the person in question can even laugh at themselves, then Lu will gladly giggle along. But otherwise not so much.

Chrissy: Hates toilet humour or anything crass. It’s lazy and childlish in her books. Chrissy is more likely to enjoy clever humour. She loves some good word play. Also a fan of fourth-wall-breaking in fictional universes. There’s something inherantly funny about fictional characters acknowledging their existance within said fiction. Probably has a few farcical favourites as well along the lines of Monty Python and Dracula: Dead and Lovin’ It.

Scott: Polar opposite of Chrissy - give him a dumb fart joke any day of the week. Scott can also be kind of cruel in his humour. He’s definitely the kind to laugh at someone getting smacked in the face with a football. That being said he’s also probably the most likely of my OC’s the laugh at himself if something similar happened to him. Credit to the lad: he can take as good as he gives.

Brad: Probably best described as sardonic. Wry. When not in other people’s company of course [/standard Bradley disclaimer]

Paige: Memes. Old cartoons and TV shows. Paige has an innocence about her humour similar to Lucy’s, but jokes are less likely to go over her head. When she’s around people she’s comfortable with Paige is happy to be more dramatic with her humour (eg; mimicking the “GRANDMA. It’s me. Anastaaaaia~”)

Gideon: Once upon a time Gideon had a similar-ish sense of humour to Scott. Schadenfreude included. He’s grown out of the worst of it, but will still get a laugh out of “America’s Funniest home Videos” of people face-planting stuff. He’s got a growing love for puns thanks to @time-is-strange‘s Alex and Claire (not least of all because a string of puns literally managed to save his life at one point!!!)

Sierra: UHHHM. Legit. not sure with Sierra. D: She’s probably one of those that gets a kick out of making other people uncomfortable but has personal lines she wouldn’t cross. If… that makes any sense. Like. She’d definitely open-faced-snog a woman in front of Westboro Baptist Church members but she wouldn’t do it to a stranger who was in the closet or something. …. She WOULD snog a woman who’s got a biggotted view of “women should only kiss MEN” just to fuck with them. But they’re a biggot so it’s fine to make them super uncomfortable and apparently force unwanted physical contact on them… Sierra is not a good person over all have I mentioned that before?? Consent is important, kids. OK THIS TOOK A WEIRD TURN I SHOULD LEAVE THIS HERE AHHH.

Are there any AUs that get you particularly excited???

I can honestly get excited about any AU for the dumbest of reasons.

Villainverse: Bradley managing to be an ACTUAL recluce and literally living underground. BRAMBER. And Tidley in that (incredibly toxic) rendition as well???!!! Lucy being The Worst. Chrissy being all hardened and bad ass.

Zombieverse: Zombie. Circus. Zombie. CLOWNS. Zombie. Freaking. ELEPHANT.

Genderbentverse: Bisexual Lu still having ALL THE SAME CRUSHES but handeling them in a different way because, well, gender issues. Female!Brad (Brailey) having to work extra hard to be taken seriously because sexism STUPID.

Supernaturalverse: The little make-shift family between @linzerj‘s OC’s and bby ghost Luuuuuuu. :’< <3 

Medieval/fantasyverse: Knight!Chrissy. Actual princess-in-a-tower-guarded-by-a-dragon Lucy getting rescued and seeing chickens for the first time ever and falling in l.o.v.e with the dumb little clucking nuggets.

Scifi AU: LITERAL QUASAR-STAR CREATURE LUCY ADOPTING A LAVA LAMP AS HER BABY. And just generally being a completely innocent adorable entity.

I just love figuring out how to take things from OC ‘canon’ and exploring how it would change in different Alternate Universes, man. It’s so so freaking interesting. AND AND AND getting to play with ideas that don’t make it into that afore-mentioned canon. LIKE WITCHY!LU AU and how Lucy’s aunt/namesake plays a muuuch more important role. Or Sunshine!Verse where Hestia and Lucy get to be actual wives :’DDD (And again, how things like that affect Lucy’s bisexuality or families or ALL THESE GOOD THINGS)

Even thinking about my OCs in established universes like the Harry Potter verse or Divergent AU or what have you is just so cool because again I love figuring out how things transfer from my own canon into these other worlds.

Which gods are connected to Akhba?

The Egyptian gods are connected to Akhba. The ones more often thought of are definitely at the fore front - gods like Ra, Bastet, Anubis etc. But the less referred to gods can also be brought to the forefront if she requires their special power in the time being. Her best relationship is the one with Bastet for sure - she’s the goddess that proposed Akhba’s deal (Living as the Vessel rather than Die in the Tombs) in the first place.

(In Aria’s place - the gods will talk to her and give her insight, there’s no real differentiation for them about who Akhba vs Aria is. That’s all Akhba’s establishment.)
