y’all i’m gonna be honest being in a masters program for public policy (especially where i live) really drives home just how fucked the american government is. and every day in class i have to sit there while my professors lecture about how government is supposed to operate, political theory, and we have to analyze current day by day happenings in policy, and i cannot emphasize enough how fucked everything is right now. We are at the precipice of full governmental breakdown of how the systems operate and we’re having to play catch up with tech and society. And everyone is dying and everything is awful.
it just very much feels like a sinking ship that the federal government wants to dig more holes into because a small percent of the guests want more port holes below deck. despite the fact that everyone and everything is saying it’s a bad idea and will make the ship sink faster.
