lilwhee replied to your post: The day after tomorrow I turn 26 and I have...
You’re alive.. there’s that accomplishment!
Thanks for the thought, but that’s kind of the problem, ahaha. I feel like a TV show that just gone on far too long. It was supposed to be cancelled in the second season and now it’s the 20th season and they’re just kinda. . . making shit up.
lilwhee replied to your post: I’ve finally had it with Ipsy. There’s only so...
Have you tried updating your preferences?
Constantly. I also used to review every single item they sent me, and yet they still insisted on sending me mascara almost every single month.
Sister-in-law
Just because I KNOW lilwhee will be commenting on the fact that I’m on tumblr for the first time in a billion years:
I’m at the library. Finished my main things and Micah’s still busy sooo currently procrastinating on the other things I need to do. And mainly just stalking you!
5:Talk about the best birthday you've had, 25:Talk about an ex-best friend, 26:Talk about things you do when you're sick, 33:Talk about what you do when you are sad, 35:Talk about things you wish you could stop doing.
AHH I DIDN’T NOTICE THIS ONE THANK YOU SO MUCH!
5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.
Usually for my birthday, since mine is so close to Christmas and everybody is so busy, I don’t really do anything. But one year, I jokingly said “I want to go to Death Valley” and my dad was just like “Okay” and we actually went. And even though I thought it was a joke because Death Valley is supposed to be a barren wasteland with nothing in it, we ended up having a blast. There’s a lot of neat things to see in Death Valley, and we spent three days exploring ghost towns, looking at strange natural formations, and we even got to see a castle! In the middle of the desert! I hope I get to go again someday :3
25: Talk about an ex-best friend.
I don’t really designate friends as “best friends”(or at least I don’t tell anyone who I consider to be my best friends; I feel bad when I pick favorites), but I did have this really close friend in Middle School named Matt. Him and I were both complete dorks around each other, and he was also the first real friend I had since switching schools in 3rd grade. We hung out quite a bit, and I even think he may have had feelings for me :V Unfortunately, when we went into High School, he turned into such a nasty and awful person, getting into drugs and becoming rude. We grew apart so fast, and It made most of my High School years a really lonely experience. At least now things are much better, but I do still wonder what he’s doing these days…
26 I already answered in a previous one I think!
33: Talk about what you do when you are sad.
Before I got Speedwagon(my guinea pig), I would usually try to forget about the sadness and just have it leave my mind by doing something that would get my mind off the sad thoughts. Ideally, I would have wanted to talk to somebody about my feelings, as that really helps me feel good again, but the only problem is that I am awful at expressing and explaining my emotions and feelings. Instead, I would just crochet or bake or read, in the hopes that my sadness would just fade away. However, now that I have Speedwagon, I now have somebody to talk to that doesn’t need to try to understand my incoherent and nonsensical attempts at expressing myself. Whenever I feel down, I can just cuddle with my little piggy and talk to her, and it makes me feel a lot better. Although, she does get scared if I start crying, so I have to be sure to hold back my tears when I’m holding her.
35: Talk about things you wish you could stop doing.
You know, I honestly don’t think there’s necessarily anything major I need or want to stop doing. The only thing I think I could do a bit less of is excessively worrying about others, but… that’s just a part of who I am. I can’t help but be concerned about those I deeply and truly care about. I want those I love to be happy, and while my involvement in other’s problems might be unwanted or annoying at times(or maybe that’s just what I think, I don’t know), I can’t allow myself to let people be sad or suffer. It is devastating for me when I see a dear friend or family member have to deal with problems and sadness that they don’t deserve, and if I feel like I can assist them in some way, then I’ll make an effort to help.
lilwhee replied to your post:*whispers into the internet* I spent way too much...
I went to a consignment sale and spent $4 on a board game and the 2nd Harry Potter book. Good buys.
Heck yeah! Sounds like a good buy to me!
Sometimes my SIL stalks me and I love her.
5. Is there a situation where you caved into peer pressure and regretted it? 3. 5. Is there a situation where you caved into peer pressure and regretted it?
If so it's been a long time. I think in high school we did some silly things that, looking back, were not the smartest things to do (stealing lawn animals :-/) bu that's probably the worst of it.
3. If you were far from home and needed to sleep for the night, would you choose to rent a crappy motel room for $60 or sleep in your car for free?
Depends on the situation. If I had the money to spare I'd spend it but if it was between that and using the money for something more fun with the family I'd do the car thing.
7. Do you like vanilla candles?
They're not my favorite but my husband likes them so I tolerate them (just like he tolerates my berry scented ones) and some are definitely better than others.
11. What did you have for breakfast?
Leftover Mac and Cheese! The breakfast of champions!
17. If you could see any musician live, front row, who would you choose?
I'm kind of fixated on Weird Al right now so that would be really cool. I'd also love to see Daft Punk live!
22. Do you still talk to any of your ex’s?
I don't really have any. I had a "boyfriend" for a week after my senior year of high school and then met my husband a few months after that.
28. Whats the next movie you want to see in theaters?
My kidlets and I are going to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman at the summer kids movie tomorrow... But I'm really curious about Guardians of the Galaxy and hope to see that soon! Thanks for the questions, lilwhee!
