“What the bloody hell is this, Granger?”
Draco sat, cross-legged, in front of the old television set that rested on a low table in the middle of the small flat that his girlfriend called home. Hermione glanced up, watching him from behind the counter in her kitchen. He had his wand out, poking and tapping at the small black console that rested beneath the television. She smiled softly, a quiet laugh escaping them when he turned to look at her, scowling.
“It’s called a dvd player, love. It plays movies on disks.” she answered, her smile getting wider as she watched him press buttons, staring at the thing in wonder. It was such a strange sight to see, she marveled silently, Draco Malfoy sitting in the middle of her tiny London flat, dressed in jeans and a blue, button-down, messing with her new dvd player.
How far they’ve come. Six years after Hogwarts and the war… four years since meeting again in a lift at the Ministry of Magic, three years and seven months since their first date, and well…the rest is history. And ever since then, Hermione had been working, very slowly and very patiently, teaching Draco everything and anything about the muggle world and they often spent their time hovering between the two. It wasn’t easy. Not in the slightest. After all, one doesn’t simply flip a switch in the mind and erase a lifetime of prejudice and practice and mentality. But, to give him credit, Draco really did try.
She topped off both their wine glasses and walked into the living room, placing them on one of the side tables next to the sofa. Then she shuffled into her room, reappearing with a dvd case. She walked up to Draco, and pulled the player away from him, handing the dvd to him instead before reconnecting the player to the television and setting it up. Draco turned the cover over and over, staring at the title.
"Beauty and the Beast? Isn’t this a children’s story?"
"Mmm, yes. And you are in much need of a childhood revival. That means Disney. Lots and lots of Disney." she grinned, taking the box from him and popping the dvd in. "Now sit."
Draco pulled himself up onto the couch, getting settled and took a long sip from his wine, watching the opening previews. Movies were one of the only Muggle things he admitted to actually completely enjoying. Though, watching them from the strange little black box was new for him. Hermione stretched out beside him, her legs resting across his lap easily. He glanced over at her, watching as she sang along to some song from the preview from another movie called “Aladdin.”
"What is Disney, exactly?" he asked.
"A staple of childhood." she said, singing yet another song from another preview. "They are a company…an enterprise. Hellbent on taking over the world one child at a time." she laughed, grinning at his confused face.
"Isn’t that a bad thing?" he turned back to the tv, now extremely wary of what she was making him watch. She laughed again, tossing a pillow at him.
"No love, Disney likes to take over the world with sweetness and light. And a lot of catchy music."
Draco just shook his head, finally paying attention to the actual movie that was starting. Hermione smiled softly, watching him as he watched the tv, and her heart melted a little more at every expression that crossed his face. He laughed easily and kept smiling at her. Halfway through the movie she moved, settling in closer to him as they watched Belle and the beast dance. Draco’s arm tightened around her shoulders, pulling her close as he placed a soft kiss against the top of her head.
"Think you’ve found your prince charming?" he whispered playfully.
She smiled. Yes. "Maybe."
About the skipping the WBI thing, I'm not sure how they actually do it. Like I thought it was like growinguponestepatatime said, but it didn't work like that for me. The first time I got through the phone interview and was denied. The second time, they had me take the WBI again and I didn't get past it. So I think it may vary. It probably does. I was trying to remember the other times I applied, but each time was completely different. There's no way to really know what system they have going on over there hahaha. Thank you! Good luck to you also :D

i would have if it had like CURLED AT ALL. Hahahah. No it was ridiculous, like i'd curl it with the curling iron and pull it out and all it would have would be a crease where the clamp part held my hair against the barrel
