Hi Hello I only just started this otome but y'all. YALL- This scene! This whole moment!!! Does it NOT scream tickle potential to you? It certainly did to me :D I really love Limbo and Shu- their bond is rather sweet in it's own right. So much so, I had to make a fic for it! I hope you like it!
Summary: A job goes wrong for Limbo, worsening his already sour mood. He just wants to get out and go home, but Shu's got some rather...unconventional plans.
You’ve really done yourself now, Fitzgerald.
That was the main thing running through Limbo’s mind right now, stuck in the backseat of an abandoned car with his wrists bound behind him. It had been such a simple job too- confront a group of amatuer thieves and steal back the “rare treasure” for the Phoenix Gang- an equally amateurish group.
“Did we seriously risk our lives for a copy of-” Shu, who had been quiet since their capture up until this point, leaned over to inspect their objective. “Crash Bandicoot?”
“Listen- I didn’t get the details until I was there!” Limbo argued, squirming in his restraints. Zip ties dug into his wrists and ankles, keeping him secured. “Had I known it was a war between rival nerd groups, I wouldn’t have taken the job!”
“Yes, you would have.” The hitman sounded almost bored, leaning towards the window as his shoulders twitched. “That’s just the kind of person you are.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” The lawyer glared, on the defensive. “What, are you saying I’m desperate?”
Shu let out a low sigh, his exhaustion even more prominent as he continued working his bound arms. “I’m saying you’re not the type to turn down a cry for help, even if it’s for something as dumb as this.” With a quiet snap, he was free. Shu reached down and undid the zip ties on his legs just as easily. “You’re always quick to help out the little guy- even though you really don’t have to.”
Ah. Limbo deflated some in his seat, embarrassed. He knew Shu likely meant it that way, but his mood was already soured by the days events leading up to now “Yeah, I guess. Maybe I should reevaluate my clientele.”
“Hm.” The older man watched him, manifesting a cigarette and taking a long drag. “You’ve been pretty moody lately. You good?”
“I’m stuck in the back of some college kid’s car with my wrists and ankles bound while my comrade smokes instead of driving us home. What do you think?” Limbo fumed, then leaned back some at the intense look in Shu’s eyes. “Shu..?”
“All week long you’ve been like this. You’ve been a real bitch to just about everyone.” The hitman got closer, eyes unreadable as he slowly began to loom over the brunette. “I let it go at first, but I’m officially sick of it. I’m ending this right here, right now.”
Limbo held his breath, a rare shiver of fear crawling across his skin. He’d known this man almost his entire life- lived with him for over a year now. He knew all too well what Shu could do. “S-Shu, please! Can we talk about this? I’m sorry- I didn’t mean it-”
Shu made his move. Limbo squeezed his eyes shut in anticipation.
“AH!” He squeaked at the fingers poking his sides, jumping out of his skin. His eyes shot open, staring at the amused expression his friend wore. “Shu?”
“You honestly thought I’d kill you? Ouch.” He mock-pouted around his cig, rubbing his chest. Then he immediately went back to tickling, jabbing his fingers into Limbo’s sides quickly as the brunette squirmed and squeaked about. “You really know how to cut a man right where it hurts.”
“I nehehehhever thoohohught thahahat! Ahehahahaa, ohohokay maahhaybe for a sehehehecond!” Limbo cried out, arching like a bow as Shu walked his fingers up towards his ribs. What a mean move! “Cohoohohme ohohohn, dohohohon’t! I’m tiihihihicklish!”
“I know. That’s why I’m tickling you.” One hand remained on his ribs while the other traced along his belly. The silky material of Limbo’s shirt did nothing to protect him. If anything, it made the tickling even worse! “Gotta fix up that diva attitude of yours before we go home.”
“I’m nohohohoht beheheheeing a dihihihihihhiihva! Aehehahahahahahahha! Yoohohohohu’re behheheing a dhiihihihiva!”
“Smooth defense, Mr. Attorney.” Shu huffed smoke through his nose as he wormed a few fingers into his armpits, following him across the seat when Limbo tried wiggling away. “What do you got next for the court? Come on, the jury is waiting.”
“Shuhuhuhuhush! Aheahhahahaha, nohoohho nohohohot thehehehehre!” A hand against his collarbone had him squishing his face down as far as it could go. “Untihihihihie mehehehehe ahrehahahahhdy!”
“No way. You still haven’t apologized for being such a brat. I’ll give you-” The hitman looked back at his phone, raising a brow. “Roughly ten minutes to get your shit together before we go home.”
“My shihihit’s cohohohmpletely fihihin-EHEHEHEHE!” A finger wiggled along the back of his neck, making Limbo slink sharply down his seat until he was near upside down. Shu didn’t waste a second, grabbing onto the nearest knee and squeezing rapidly. “PLEAHAHHASE SHUUHUHU I’M SOHOOHOHRRY!”
“Sorry for what…?”
“FOHOOHOR BEEHEHEING SUUUHUHCH A BIHIHIHITCH! EHEHAHAHA STHAHAHAP PLEAHHAHAHSE!” Limbo squirmed the best he could in his restraints, tugging at his arms and kicking his binded feet like a trapped mermaid the best he could in the confounds of the backseat. His eyes were beginning to blur over with unshed tears, and his limbs were starting to hurt from the awkward angle. “IHIIH’LL STAHHAP, ILL STAHHAHAHAP!”
“Hmm..okay.” Mercy had been awarded. Shu stopped his tickling, reaching back and snapping the zip ties around Limbo’s ankles clean. He then helped him back into a proper sitting position, hands coming down to undo his wrists.
And then stopped. “So.”
“....So? Aren’t you going to untie me?” Limbo squirmed some, wiggling his arms.
“Talk first.” He couldn’t see Shu’s face from this angle, but the tone in his voice was new. Softer. “What’s going on?”
He really was going to do this, huh? Granted, Limbo didn’t know if he could resist the temptation to run the second his wrists were free. Sighing, he pressed his head against the glass window. “It’s been a bad week.”
“Case gone wrong?”
“Among other things.” He suddenly felt so tired, thinking back to all that went wrong. His former client turned out to be the worst kind of pervert. His sister had given him the third degree over something regarding a case he was too tired to recall. He dropped his pretzel bites.
The worst of it was that all of these unfortunate happenings left him short tempered and grumpy- leading to a fight with Teuta after she tried to check in. The guilt had been eating him all day since.
He squeezed his eyes shut, suddenly very tired and embarrassingly close to tears. Behind him, he felt Shu’s hand on the back of his neck. Not tickly, just supportive and kind. “Want to try again?”
Limbo could only nod, not trusting his voice. Shu hummed as he snapped the last of the zipties, freeing him completely. “Come on. I’ll drive.”
“I can do it. I want to stop by Carmen’s and pick something up for everyone. It’s the least I can do.” The attorney got out, but Shu was already buckling himself in the driver’s seat. “Seriously-”
“Shut up and get in or I’ll leave you here.” An empty threat. Still, Limbo found himself hustling into the passenger seat. “You can pay if it makes you feel better.”
“Gold digger.” The attorney teased, and Shu grinned. “Hey um…thanks.”
“I just don’t want to crash.”
“Not that- for…oh, nevermind.” Limbo pretended to be annoyed, but his previous mood was far gone. He felt lighter, ready to be human again. He’d make amends with everyone- bring Teuta her favorite meal from the restaurant and apologize properly. Then he was going to take a nice long weekend for himself to re-center.
As if reading his thoughts, he felt Shu’s eyes on him, a trace of a smile touching his lips. He reached out and ruffled Limbo’s hair without a word.
