Another find on this trip @linastores in Soho is the restaurant of #LinaStores Deli which has been open since 1944 on Brewer Street providing Italian specialties to Londoners foe over 75 years. • Another simple counter with an open kitchen on bustling Greek Street in Soho (they also have another deli/restaurant in King’s Cross), which serves simple Italian pastas and charcuterie based dishes. • For lunch, I started with a peach Bellini with the starter of aubergine polpete which is an eggplant meatball topped with a smoky tomato sauce. This was followed by the heartier Panino con Porchetta e salsa verde - a crispy ciabatta filled with a generous hunk of roast pork belly and crackling slathered with salsa verde. • Next came two small plates of homemade pasta: linguine di granchio - crab, chili, lemon and datterini tomatoes (£13) and the tagliolini al tartufo - an extra rich 30-egg yolk tagliolini tossed in butter and Parmesan then topped with a generous helping of shaved black truffles (a steal at just £9). • A single espresso for “dessert”then we continued on our walk around Soho. • #TravelswithaGourmet #TWAGLondon (at Lina Stores) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFQnaOFnKjp/?igshid=1ws2azgbz77vx
