You'd be crazy if you thought this lingerie sewing space nerd wasn't going to make a stars themed bra out of this gorgeous embroidered lace. I'd been looking for the right thing to wear with some of my plunging v neck shirts and dresses, then @contouratelier came out with the #Belgravia bra pattern. The seach for the perfect fabric started here...then @mmadalynne had this lace in a preview email. so I waited, and waited and waited for what felt like months (it was only a few weeks, I'm just impatient) and made it happen. My measurements are a tiny bit different than my dress form, but you get the point, right? There is a zig zag seam through my front panel on purpose, it made the whole thing embroidered. Week 4 #braaweekchallenge It's the Marikka top by @mikosewingpatterns! I really struggle with buying sports bras sometimes, so making one that I like can be insanely intimidating. I really like this one. The higher neckline makes it both stay in place and gives it more stability, the shoulder gives the same qualities. I think I'm going to hack this into a one piece swimsuit for lap swimming. I changed the width of the bottom elastic for personal preference, but other than that, I followed the directions as written. For fabrics, the outer layer is a from @joann_stores about 6 years ago, it was leftover from some workout capris. The contrast effect os simply the wrong side of the fabric. #braaweekchallenge Week 3 I tackled making a bralette pattern work for me, using the little bit of lavender chevron lace I have left from my @mintfroglace purchase a while back. The hipster panties are self drafted, the fabric is leftover from some palazzo pants. It reminds me of a pastel galaxy scene. Just need to find the perfect color for a tank top now. I designed and made palazzo pants while quarantined in Canada last year.
