Overall, I understand the criticisms and disappointment but for me the finale mostly delivered in what was a satisfying journey that like Dusk didn’t quite ascend but remains consequential.

Um, is the Bedframe machines potentially sentient or remote piloted? Because seeing Baiken fighting one is concerning.

There is what you call "residual psychic energy" that can effectively influence inanimate objects via "possession".

Zappa once explained how possession works, but it also influences things on a global scale.

A very large-scale example of this is when the collective will of Mankind wished for a Brighter Future: this created I-No and altered Axl Low's Timeline.

Most likely, Bedman's lingering thoughts and feelings are possessing what remains of his 8th Generation High Density Bedframe.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bedframe was actually seeking out Delilah for the purpose of either protecting her, or at least conveying Bedman's final thoughts before he died.

Bedman was, in life, effectively a psychic capable of reading the minds of others. So it comes as no surprise that his consciousness still lingers within the Bedframe to an extent.
