Aggie is very obvious in her design; she's related to Ragatha, but I've chosen the evil Ragatha palette because it'd be both funny and cute... I like it; it isn't too deep or detailed. She looks like a rebelling teenager in senior high/ freshman college esque (Having colored hair but still being somewhat modest in her dressing) :3

I've designed Polin in a centaur-like design to mix in with my other favourite hyperfixation of the (anime adaptation) of Dungeon meshi. In a circus context, Polin would be a juggler, entertainer, and 'animal' of sorts... mostly because she has, like.. a centaur body; she mainly would do tricks In the timeline I wrote, Polin being there before Pomni, a draft design, and I guess Caine liked the design enough to make it smaller and cooler (Jokingly, People have said Caine is getting better at designing his OCs LOLLL)

Leonardi's multiple layers of oil create such rubbed, mashed, seemingly forced strokes. Softness in its brutality. Waiting for one layer to cure, to settle *just* enough.. before superimposing the next, less sharp, more blunt, dense oils.

Josef: either a red fox or a great horned owl, but he loves all animals. theyre his special interest

Ake: cats

Jannie: mice

Gaspar: theyre very fond of elk

Dr. Onyx: do moths count? if not, probably a tenrec

Ruis - /r/ has traditionally been associated with ruise 'red' however I believe that it should be noted that ruis is OI inflection of ros which means 'linseed or flax' (which should be noted are often red in color) and was highly used in iron age British isles as a medicinal plant (with studies showing it has anti-inflammational properties that can help with skin conditions)

Fact-Checking Star Stable Online Herbs: Flax

Note: this is not to insult Star Stable’s herbal teaching programs at all, I actually really enjoy them, and they’re overall pretty accurate, there are just some aesthetic differences and details that I think should be clarified. Not that I’m an expert or anything, I’m just a nerd lol.

Flax is one of the plants you can gather in Star Stable. It takes the form of a tall bush with small, five-petalled yellowish flowers on the tops of the long stems.

Their description of flax is pretty darn accurate. A bunch of stems growing from the same root in a bush, with five petals and a flower on the heads of the stems.

 The primary thing that can be misleading is the colour.

You see, while flax can be yellow- there are several of species of yellow flax, actually- and many do look just like that- flax is usually blue. 

We grow a few plants ourselves- we’d show it, but it’s winter rn lol, so this picture from oceanhero will have to do.

Flax tends to grow in dry and cool regions, especially yellow flax, but it’s an incredibly hardy plant. The particular plant I found in Star Stable was on the outskirts of Silverglade, and I wouldn’t be shocked if that was a good habitat for it, but I’ve only found one plant so far so I’m not sure if that’s its general spawn area yet.

Star Stable’s description of flax’s properties are accurate as well- linen and oil. You’ve probably heard of linseed oil? Linseed is another name for flax.

Overall, great representation. 9/10. I’m picky.
