Assuming you're open to questions about the AU, did Michael have anyone to support him after the bite of 87?

Hshgsusab yeah it's been a while. I've been in a terrible burnout for the past... 2 and a half years? But I'm trying my best to get back to making art. I still love my blorbos the same.
It's a really good question and well- The short answer is that Michael didn't have support but also wasn't alone.
Small content warning for discussing intentional body harm and torture.
The interesting answer is that after the bite, Michael took it upon himself to take care of Jeremy's apartment. Remy had a *lot* of various plants that they loved and cared for. Mike tried to keep them thriving but he didn't succeed and grew more and more frustrated with how the plants were seemingly dying while Jeremy was in the hospital in a coma.
At his worst, he was found by none other than William. He knew what happened and understood how fragile Michael was at that time so he used that to his advantage. He manages to convince Mike to go with him (to Vegas of all places because that's where William lives now under the name of Dave Miller). Will acta very caring and understanding towards his son and gives him a false sense of safety support.
One thing leads to another and William introduces Mike to remnant. Michael doesn't exactly know *what* remnant is but he's told that with enough experimentation William will be able to *bring back Evan, Elizabeth and Clara (Mike's mother)*.
Of course Mike doesn't believe him at first but then William hurts himself and shows how his body regenerates almost instantly (he already injected a little bit of remnant into his own body for research).
This makes Michael hopeful and he believes that he can not only bring back his family but also *help Jeremy* with this whole remnant thing.
Things get out of hand for him rather quickly though. The injection is very painful, even if it's just a small amount at first. William progressively injects Michael with more remnant and gives him more and more severe injuries to see if the amount of remnant that's already in his body will be enough to heal them.
Michael would eventually find out what remnant is by going through William's research notes and escapes. That's about half a year after the bite.
He comes back to Hurricane and learns that Jeremy has woken up and is now back home, recovering from the brain trauma. He wants to reunite but Jeremy shuts him off.
Michael becomes extremely paranoid about William finding him again as well as his own body having remnant in it. It gets to a point where he straight up bunkers himself in his apartment until he's found by Henry.
