A frustrated mood pervaded Cyrus, uncharacteristic yet present nonetheless. His stare was drilled to the phone, flicking through it listlessly, fiddling around as best he could. He was tenacious, but eventually, he had to give up. It wasn’t until he sighed and finally looked at the unassuming park surrounding him that he spotted her.
He blinked, stunned like he was viewing an apparition, but soon his eyes lit up.
“Oh!” He was shocked, in the most pleasant way possible. Rising from his seat, he set a brisk pace towards the woman he saw.
“Well, unless my eyes are deceiving me, I do believe a luckier coincidence has never happened to me in my life. Primrose, how happy I am to see you!” He saw no reason to be cautious at the moment, even with the clones running rampant in the city. Then again, he’d waltzed into more dangerous predicaments with even greater confidence.
“How fare you, my girl? Have you taken to this place well enough?”
