i really wish i had a clear before photo of my bicep “bingo wings” area to compare to the post-choline size because it is one of the MAJOR areas of change. i have been saying for years that there was a problem in my upper arms, that there was too much fat there for my body composition, it hurt constantly, and always felt swollen and cold and congested, like the flesh of a cadaver almost. stiff and claylike. i KNEW there was something wrong. i think ive lost like 1-3” of circumference around my biceps and the flesh just feels like normal hEDS flesh now, eg, sort of like a shaved, fat cat. doughy as opposed to claylike. its not muscle loss either, it wouldnt physically be possible to lose this much muscle mass in this period of time while maintaining caloric and activity levels, which i have. this is definitely long term inflammation and possibly nodular, pathological fat cells, suddenly having the edema wrung out of them
the arm situation was so bad that i was not able to sleep in short sleeves because the dorsal, tricep area would become painfully cold if it was exposed to room temperature air while i slept, so painfully that it would wake me up out of deep sleep, which is an absurd symptom. it would happen even in warm rooms
