Jigglypuff cocktail by The_Nerds_Inn!
In your serving glass over ice add 60ml strawberry and cream liqueur 30ml vanilla marshmallow vodka Top with full cream milk
Stir, garnish with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
Cactus Flower cocktail !
Ingredients:
2 oz watermelon-infused mezcal
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 oz ginger liqueur
1/2 oz prickly pear syrup
Instruction:
For the watermelon-infused mezcal:
Combine 2 parts mezcal to 1 part cubed ripe watermelon in a closed container, like a mason jar. (For a small batch, I used 1 cup of mezcal to 1/2 cup of watermelon. You can make a large batch with one 750ml bottle of mezcal to about 1/2 a large watermelon).
Let the mixture infuse for 24-48 hours (or longer for even more flavor!) Give the jar a gentle shake periodically.
After 1-2 days, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the liquid, pressing gently on the watermelon chunks to express as much liquid as possible.
Store any leftover infused mezcal in a closed container away from heat and sunlight.
For the cocktail:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill the shaker 3/4 with ice.
Shake until chilled, then strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with a lime twist.

how long/what temp to allow for using cooking wine-half the time I can't get the alcohol to boil out
Alcohol starts to evaporate off at 175°F A study from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Nutrient Data Laboratory showed that it can take longer than two and a half hours for all the alcohol to be cooked out of food to which wine or some other alcoholic beverage has been added. The study showed that the amount of alcohol remaining depends in part on the cooking method. For example, after brandy has been “flamed” – poured on foods and then set alight – approximately 75 percent of the alcohol remains after the flames have died down.
The study also revealed that alcohol content diminishes with cooking time. After being added to food that then is baked or simmered for 15 minutes, 40 percent of the alcohol will be retained. After cooking for an hour, only about 25 percent will remain, but even after 2.5 hours of cooking, five percent of the alcohol will still be there. ---
Most dishes that serve 4+ people would only require about a cup of wine in total, or a quarter-cup of brandy or less. That amount would add a lot of flavor, and the remaining alcohol content per serving would be so low, it wouldn’t matter to most people.
In fact, if you’ve cooked with vanilla extract, you’ve cooked with alcohol - that tasty liquid is 35% alcohol, but it’s such a small part of the final mix.
-- EXCEPTION: If someone has a known alcohol allergy, is a recovering alcoholic, is pregnant, or is taking medicine that is affected by alcohol, Alcohol shouldn’t be used in the dish at all. There are alternatives, like alcohol-free beer, or using juice or vinegar, to add to that rich flavor instead of a spirit.
Mr. Black Panama Geisha
Since winning The Dieline 2014 awards, Mr. Black has grown an outstanding reputation for making the best coffee liqueur in the world, or as they put it; ‘caffeinated boozy perfection’. This year, the Australian brand wanted to raise the bar with a very special, limited edition, Mr. Black. It was a dream job for Co Partnership, a design agency that specialize in premium drinks packaging and a team of coffee nerds who go out of their way for great coffee every morning. A perfect fit.
FINALLY!! This was a /relatively/ small piece compared to my other WIPs, so let’s dive in shall we?
more under the cut because I WILL be going overboard with descriptions and be talking about spoilery stuff for DBS and the Universe Survival saga
