CPU Coolers
A CPU Cooler is a device that efficiently keeps the CPU cool and safe from overheating. The CPU is the brain of your computer, and it generates a lot of heat as it works. If this heat is not removed, the CPU can become damaged and your computer can crash.
The most popular kind is air coolers. They function by forcing air over a heat sink—a metal block with fins to enhance surface area—using a fan. The heat from the CPU is transmitted to the heat sink, where it is subsequently expelled by air that is blasted over it.
Although they cost more than air coolers, liquid coolers work better. They function by moving heat from the CPU to a radiator, where it is released into the atmosphere, using a liquid coolant.
