He's older, but is he any wiser?

Wanted to design Bumblebee for Little Tyrant AU.

Main inspo for him was the design for Bumble Prime in TFA, but there's some ES and my fave of his IDW looks in there too.

Bumblebee is the leader of the Autobots, and has been since Optimus retired after the defeat of Unicron. The change in leadership was one sorely needed going into peacetime, though even after all this time Bumblebee isn't sure if he's the mech for the job.

Jazz seems to think so! And so do the rest of the Autobots. Even Soundwave, a Decepticon to this day, works with the Autobots on occasion, finding him more trustworthy than the old management.

Bee and his faction are based in Iacon, where the Autobots still enjoy a great deal of popularity for their role in Unicron's final defeat. Cybertron as a whole is lead by High Chancellor Windblade, who calls Bee a friend but maintains neutrality in the name of her commitment to all mecha and humans who call Cybertron home. The planet's population is a mix of former Autobots and Decepticons that have set aside their past allegiances, and the large Neutral population that returned after the war. There are a minority of humans who have moved permanently to Cybertron since a series of permanent space bridge routes were established between the allied planets.

Bumblebee had the option of getting his knee replaced, but he's elected to keep the cane and leave the joint as it is. Bee's cane's as much a part of him as his servos and tires are. Plus, it's really fun to taze people with it.

Starscream's sacrifice during the defeat of Unicron wasn't the end of his and Bumblebee's friendship, but as the years went on, Starscream's 'ghost's' grip on their reality dissipated more and more, until one day he vanished entirely. Bumblebee grieved privately as one of the few who had a mostly-positive view of Cybertron's most infamous and divisive leader to date, but hoped Starscream's spark had finally found its way back to the Well.

That was until Jazz and Soundwave brought Bumblebee news of a very familiar sparkling picked up on the edge of the galaxy.

Bumblebee does his best to deal with the situation. Who better to handle such a delicate and high-maintenance sparkling than Starscream's old trine?

I never really understood why people made fankids until I snapped awake one day and realized I’d basically been making fankids way back since like 2022 or whenever it was I made that dead grimwalker forsake-not.

Turns out I love making fan kids but only to explore how terrible their parents would be at parenting. I am crazy uninterested in happy family shit which is what 90% of the fan kids I see are so I just didn’t get it. I get it now tho. It’s fun.

But it’s not even just about misery and abuse tbh. I plan for most of my fan-kid stuff to have happy endings. It’s more that exploring parenthood can be really fun if you don’t automatically default to perfect fluffy societally encouraged domestic fantasies and instead think about how a characters flaws would affect their parenting :)
