Where to even begin.  First of all, even though I think most people are aware, the reason that all of these Karedevil events are such a sucess is all because of @murdocklovespage.  She puts so much work into them (while she’s in the middle of like eight other things).  She is a rockstar.

As for my favorite fics, I have to start with Deep Into the Abyss which I have geeked out to her about so many times it’s not even funny. There’s a little bit of everything in this fic.  Matt being Matt (but we love him anyway), Karen being a badass, mutual pining (LOTS of mutual pining (!!!), multiple love scenes (yay!!!), mystery, kidnapping...just read it.  You will not be sorry (and you’ll see why I geek out about this one)

The Way Things Change very biased on this one as this from a prompt list (and the one I sent was “things you said as we danced in our socks”. She probably wanted to kill me for sending that particular prompt, but it’s SOOOOO good, it’s domestic Karedevil, reflections on how far they’ve come and a swoon-worthy surprise at the end. I love it so much.  

Things You Said When You Thought I Was Sleeping this is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, with dual POVs of what Matt and Karen say when they think (key word: think) the other is sleeping.  All the feels.  

Second Chances Post season 2, Karen still needs her space from Matt, who is trying really hard to earn her trust back, even offering to go to a banquet with her when her date stands her up.  Sparks fly when they get out on the dance floor (SWOON)...but then shit starts to go down and they need to make a quick escape.  One of my all-time faves.

It’s Just a Spark  College AU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The campus bookstore screws up and doesn’t have the audio version of a textbook for Matt, so Karen (who cannot stand him because they’re always in competition for the top spot in their classes) offers to make recordings for him.  And we all know how much Matt loves her voice...

Like everybody else in the squad, you really can’t go wrong with any fic by @murdocklovespage   She is a wonderful writer and I hope we see more of her fics.

Short and sweet for @littledidtheyknow and meant for yesterday and Hope, but I never saw a deadline that I didn’t breeze right past. Oh well. This was for List 1 #14: Imagine your OTP intertwining their fingers together while they’re in bed. I hope you like it! There are things which exist in my head and which come before this, but they are angsty and difficult and I am still a little blocked when it comes to what I think I want for these two considering what happened with The Defenders, but one day I hope to write them too. And having this already written helps motivate me to get there and make the whole timeline fit together one day. Fingers crossed.

Any Moment

Karen wakes slowly, gently as light begins to filter through the windows of the apartment around her. It’s not the right angle to be her apartment and for a fraction of a second she’s confused before she becomes aware of a weight on her stomach - a hand - and turns her head to Matt propping his head up with his left arm and smiling softly at her. His face is open and unguarded, as it so rarely is, and she gives him a sleepy-eyed smile.

“Hi,” she whispers.

“Hi,” he says with a smirk.

She rolls onto her side to face him and he kisses the tip of her nose as she does. A blush rises on her cheeks and she chuckles, unable to help herself.

He removes his right hand from her stomach and reaches down between them, thread his fingers with hers.

“What’s so funny?” he asks, voice still rough with sleep.

“Nothing. I just keep wondering when one of us is going to go into a coma from how cute and sweet we’re being.”

He huffs a laugh at her and gives a small shrug. “I could think of worse ways to go.”

“Oh, I’m sure.” She bites her lip and then sighs.

With a raised brow, he tilts his the slightest bit, like he does when he’s trying to solve some kind of puzzle. “What?”

“Nothing. It’s nothing. But I-I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, ‘ya know?” Karen licks her lips and gives him a sad smile. “I’m sorry. I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer first thing in the morning. I’m just … I’m just afraid it’s too good to be true.”

Matt untangles their fingers and uses his free hand to take hold of Karen’s face, gently tracing her cheek. “Karen, please believe me when I say that I know exactly what you’re talking about. But it isn’t like he haven’t had our fair share of obstacles. And it doesn’t mean that we’ll never have another disagreement or another challenge. But for now, maybe we can just … enjoy this moment and enjoy one another and just be thankful for the time that we have. I think we’ve earned a little bit of that. Don’t you?”

She looks up and for a moment, sees the open expression on his face, and her heart wants to break for him. Because he’s absolutely right, and if anyone knows a thing or two about being grateful for the present moment, it’s Matt Murdock. Maybe with all the growing and learning he’s done in the past year, there’s still something she could learn from him.

“Yeah, actually I think we have,” she says as she takes his hand from her cheek and presses a soft kiss to his palm. And just as he sighs, the tension going out of his frame, she rolls over and pins him beneath her and starts kissing him in earnest. And they proceed to appreciate one another, in great detail, for the rest of the morning.

How many followers?

I think I lost somewhere around 5 or 6 in the last few days. And the only explanation I can come up with is it must be related to me posting about Karedevil this week. I just don’t understand it. My description says I ship Karedevil and so does my avatar.

Omg thank you for sending this and sorry to respond so late, I’m literally just rarely on Tumblr these days (freaking having to be an adult and responsible whyyyyy grrrr) but I think once this cursed month is over I might have free time again? Maybe? 

ANYWAY. I did get lots of love and cuddles and some really good family time so I’m grateful for all of that :). It’s always nice to feel appreciated and thank you for sending that extra love my way, it fills me with warm fuzzies!

He’s the worst man, I was SOOOOOO tempted to rant but I wasn’t up for it when I got home from work. 

He also harasses us Kastle shippers on Twitter a lot. I think most of us have him blocked. But he just butts in on Kastle threads, etc and starts going on about how KD is endgame, blah blah blah. 

He’s legit crazy! Once on reddit, he was going on and on about how KD would get engaged in DD S3 & married in TD S2. Like, there’s a lot wrong with that theory (my disliking KD aside) b/c like: Even IF they did go romantic with KD..... First, you’d have to have Karen want to trust Matt again and rebuild the friendship first. Then, there’s the issue where TD was never even renewed for S2..... 

Anyway. The guy’s a certified pain in my ass.
