Summary: Matt crosses the rest of the room in a heartbeat, wrapping his arms around his friend and squeezing tight as though to test his reality against the creeping fear that his mental state has deteriorated further than he realized and he has somehow hallucinated this whole situation.
“Wait, but -how are you here? You should be dead.”
“Yikes, buddy. Sure making me feel welcome over here,” Foggy says, pulling an exaggerated face.
Matt closes his eyes and shakes his head, shame blooming hot in his stomach. But it is followed closely by a gnawing sense of uneasiness that something about this situation just isn’t right. “Hey, come on. I mean, I’m thrilled to see you, but I was at your funeral, Fog. I was there when they buried you.”
“Well, I guess it didn’t take,” Foggy says with a shrug that mocks the gravity of the situation. “You know a thing or two about that, don’t you?”

Or, Foggy has seemingly returned from the dead, and Matt has to figure out how and why and what the implications are, but nothing is as he expected. Can he trust the demon that has taken over his friend's body to help him get out of an impossible choice?

Vague Superman spoilers ahead but what does it say about movies lately that I was genuinely surprised that they beat the bad guys without some big catch or sacrifice. Like sure there little things and emotional ramifications but at the end of the day they won.
Lex even tried to do the whole “force the hero to make an impossible choice” thing and it didn’t work because Superman asked his friends for help!
Anyway I’m just obsessed with the theme of “Good can win. It may be hard and it may seem hopeless at times but with love and friendship and a radical determination to save as many people as you possibly can, good can win.”

Imagine how crushing it must have been for Shepard to read that. Yeah it's some Shadow Broker's stupid estimation but imagine reading that the person you appreciate and cherish the most in the world, the companion who was there with you at your highest and lowest, maybe someone you kind of want to keep close for the rest of your life, is probably unable to reach his full potential as long as you keep him close.
And you want him to reach his full potential. Cause he's your friend and maybe someone more and you wish him the best.

I tried makeup for a while in college but I could tell it was actually making my dysphoria *worse* because I'd feel alright about myself but then take it off at the end of the day and I'd see my face without makeup and suddenly be hit by how ugly I felt without it and I was like oh. this doesn't seem healthy. so I swore it off and threw it all out and now my bare face doesn't really bother me anymore. I want to feel good about myself at all hours of the day, actually
