(ෆ ͒•∘̬• ͒)◞ i love how you manage to capture the utter chaos that klaus appears as to outsiders yet also showing his train of thought and emotions internally that actually link his seemingly random actions. you don't write him as just "woo hoo I'm so crazy and unpredictable for shock value!" but rather as a whole and fully fleshed-out person. it's just that most of the other people around him don't take the time to get to know him well and consequently can't follow his internal little klaus train of thought so he comes across as wild to them. idk how to explain it exactly but you walk that balance so well and really make him feel like a whole person when I read your writing but still as unique as he is in (the good parts) of canon. i love it! and it also makes me sad when other characters (like mine, allison especially) don't take the time to actually know him and just dismiss him as unrelatable & unpredictable when he's still a person too. and from a reader's perspective (lol) I love that our threads can make me feel things like that. thank you for sharing your writing and character with me <3

thank you so much for picking up on Klaus’ nuance lmfao it’s honestly one of the greatest challenges of writing him like I adore how batshit he is but it’s honestly like a puzzle trying to reverse-engineer his 20-point-thought-process behind everything he does so it means the world to me that it does actively make klaus feel more real. 

also listen one of my favorite things about klaus is that he’s found so many ways to take advantage of people dismissing him so don’t feel bad!!! in fact i’m like 99% sure klaus ENCOURAGES it because he hates Being Perceived for what he truly is. allison has very good reasons for not being able to trust him and THAT’S where all the juicy conflict comes in!! that’s honestly one of the reasons i ADORE your take on allison, because you don’t pull your punches when it comes to her inability/unwillingness to understand others, especially someone like Klaus who moves at 1000 mph with 0 explanation or apology. they bring out such different sides to each other and it’s so messy and interesting UGH i love it so much

Dallas should’ve figured that Johnny would be hesitant to go through with the task for him. If he could, he would solo it and do the stealing himself. However, there was no way he was getting into that store undetected; and while it would be fun to try and push the workers buttons, he didn’t want to mess this up. Ponyboy needed a new switchblade after he lost his, and his birthday was coming up anyway.

“The bastard on shift knows my face, man. Said if I showed my face again, he’d call the cops,” Dally explained, his shoulder bumping against Johnny to give him a slight nudge towards the store. “C’mon, Johnny. Do it for Pony. I’ll be right here if anything goes wrong.”

“you can start by sobering up.” andrew’s head shakes as he steps back to let bender into his house. a decision he’d probably be regretting shortly but he didn’t have it in him to leave his friend outside. even a friend who knew exactly how to get on his nerves. “my parents aren’t home but i know they wouldn’t be thrilled about having a soak around.” giving the brunette a weary look, andrew adds, “try not to ruin the carpet, okay?”

he locks the front door behind them then starts walking towards the kitchen, “come on, i’ll get you some water.” avoiding bender’s gaze he dares to ask, “so what happened tonight?” had to be something unusual for bender to show up at his house.

keep dreaming , kiddo . if no one else cared about his problems , at least jack daniels did . it’s a surprise when andrew actually steps aside to allow john into the house , but he restrains himself from saying something snarky , and instead steps into the clark home before the other boy can change his mind . ‘ aye , aye captain , ’ boots squish slightly against the plush carpets , and he looks around . it’s about what he expected  –––– neat , clean , tody ; barely looks like it’s been lived in at all .

‘ oh y’know , the norm for the bender residence , ’ he wasn't planning on going into any deep detail with andrew , because... well , they weren’t best friends or anything , and he really didn’t need to know . ‘ why’re you up so late , sporto ? you just get home from a hot date ? ’

It had been rather busy this time of year, being summer and all. People were checking in and making reservations like mad. All round the clock she had been checking people in, without so much as a breather.

Thankfully there was now a lull and she could enjoy her novel. In the corner of her eye she saw the red headed girl, she looked about her age. Her family seemed quite affluent, her father particularly but plenty of affluent people stayed at the hotel, it was right in the middle of Manhattan after all.

dawn walked alongside her nephew, hands in her jacket pockets. she was trying to do better about being there for her family when they needed her. going for a walk had been her suggestion and she was glad they did because despite the winter breeze feeling like it was stinging her cheeks, it felt easier for them to talk out here. "i know what you mean," she said, glancing over at him. "i know you probably think this is crap coming from me, but it still could. you've still got college and you've got your mom and brother." after what they'd been through having will back was like a miracle, but she didn't want to discount that not everything was about him. sometimes siblings just wanted their own problems to be the focus, she sure had. "what's really going on? talk i through with me."

"i could have," robin shrugged. she'd learned to stand up for herself though, and she wasn't about to let people steam roll her or the people around her. "but then he wouldn't learn." they'd been smoking on the couch when some leather clad, greasy looking guy robin was half sure played bass for some band tried to join her conversation with william by scooting in way too close to her on the couch. she'd put her cigarette out on the guy's pants. he'd called her a bitch, but he'd left and that was good enough for her. "he's still probably gonna go cozy up to some woman he thinks is cute here and try and sleep with her, but at least maybe he'll remember what happened last time now." she scanned the rest of the smokey party before turning back to her companion. "i could have been a lot meaner too."
