Jou watched the Sith leave, with as much panache as she'd entered the dingy cantina. The tiny slim little rattataki had never met one of the infamous Force users before. Everyone heard the stories of course, but... 

...Meeting one had been something else. 

Darth Damry had been all red hair and sharp eyes on an unassuming frame, intelligence wrapped in facade. She'd made no attempt to conceal that from Jou, but if she had, the agent wasn't sure she'd've known it. 

Impressive, considering her own skill at lying. 

Though a failed Cipher, Jou still had the skills, and one of her best lay in manipulating people. Under the radar was always safest, so that's where she stayed. No one suspected the cute, happy, nice one, right? 

I wonder if she has figured out the same thing, she thought. 

Absently she recalled what she knew of the woman. Her star was on the rise, and by all accounts, Jou was very lucky indeed. Especially considering the woman's remarkable lack of racism -unusual in Imperial humans- which made her respect of the Sith rise several notches more than it had been already. Not to mention working for a sith gave her access to all the fun toys....

And it also gave her the resources to continue her search. Granted, it would be paused for a while; first, she'd need to integrate herself into the Darth's retinue, if she could. Then came personal business. 

Jou blinked when she realized she was almost looking forward to it. 

Something I never thought I'd say. Ha!! 

Course it sounds so bad when you put it like that... The tiny scientist had no intention of crossing her new boss, not if she could help it. Some agents spoke very highly, and apparently honestly, of thier lords, other agents who'd been taken, give, or stolen from ImpInt by various means. She'd considered them all poppycock. No one LIKED working for Sith.... But- 

It was too early to really tell of course. 

So: first, be the best, most useful subordinate ever.

Second: find my sister, hopefully with the Darth Damry's blessing, but if not, I can manage without it. I have this far. 

She stretched, stood, and hopped up from the seat with a grin. Even the prospect of returning to work to be leered at by slimy slugs couldn't dampen her mood.

Things were finally, finally looking up.

At first I was skeptical about the whole new character thing, but after the promos and trailers started coming out, listening to Evangeline's interviews, and what Philippa Boyens said, I'm so here for it. 

And it pisses me off when people dismiss a female character because "noo she's a may sue", "oh no such a cliche, a badass princess". I hate it! People set higher and more difficult rules for female characters to follow, and lines never to cross in order to be "worthy" of even being in the movie, when we have male characters who are cardboard cut outs, and cliches, but no one says a word about them. Like people wishing they had not written Tauriel for the rumored "love triangle" (which has being denied by some actors) and they are happy having the other two characters who are part of the so called "love triangle". Why she gets attacked for it, and wished she was not part of the movie, but Legolas and Kili don't get the same comments? 

Ughh. 

Stan mode on. Need an icon to piss off the haters.
