You can read a thousand books and listen to hundreds of podcasts, you can take seminars, post inspirational shit all damn day, and try to tough it out and move on. But, until you sit within your darkest, deepest, traumatic depths you cannot recover. You cannot wholly get past it until you go through it. Not around it, over it, spin off it. You have to crack wide open and really commit to healing without judgment before you can ever truly be there for or understand another’s. . It’s hard work, it can feel like you aren’t making progress, or maybe not in a time frame that you want. The truth is that leaning into it, even acknowledging the need is the first, of many, steps. Take your time, become aware, get curious, find ways to go through by accepting your pain and trauma as truth, that judging it only delays the process. . Move, write, dance, talk, get help, carnal scream, whatever you have to acknowledge that what your darkness represents was real, validate your pain, huh that younger you, be who you needed. . You can and will get there and there will be a guarantee that you will live through life with more understanding of what you need, want, and deserve. You will be a better version because you have let your scars be a part of your story, not who you are. . You will be able to love greater and bigger because your healing came from the deepest part of your pain. .
