Continuing the livetumblign adventures of Almithara Lavellan. Previous post is [here] We will be exploring Haven, and making a proper looking set of armour for Almithara.

honestly, not really of a fan of any of the armours we start with. The mercenary coat is fine, but just not something that really fits Almithara personality wise. A part of me is considering running around in the Antaam-Saar

But I feel like it’s a bit... too much, like, this is not something Almithara would really wear into battle, even if I love how it looks generally. so as soon as possible, we will be trying to craft some armour that actually fits her.

As a Dalish Elf, Almithara has some complex feelings about a city elf being forced to kneel for her. It is nice that she isn’t distrusted but like, she does not want this either, especially not seeing another elf so scared of her.

These three together are just Galight, Gatekeep, Girlboss personified. But yeah, Almithara agrees to help the inquisition, for now. Needing their protection from the chantry mostly. And she was sent to the Conclave to discover if the Mage/Templar war would be a threat to her people. The breach presents a clear threat now, so she is obligated to investigate it, and if she can, stop it.

Can’t really get a better pic, but this is the current equiped gear, armour and weapon are self crafted, every character will stick to default until I can craft something better for them. Once we get to Skyhold, I want to change the colours of this armour though. Also the staff is Electricity, but once I get the materials for it, I will craft a fire one.

I feel like... Leliana, love, you have a dalish wife, surely you would like... understand that Almithara does not really have any ties to Andraste, and would not be comfortable with such a question, darling?

I’m actually having a lot of fun with how Almithara tries to gather intel. She can’t quite trust anyone in the Inquisition yet, it’s all happening too fast for that. She trusts Varric, since he seems to be in a similar situation as her. But with the rest, she needs to know more first. She is actually quite good at getting that information, acting dumb, and trying to figure out more, bit by bit., asking questions that don’t seem important, to coax out more info. This doesn’t really work on Leliana though, making her hardest to read. She does like josephine the most so far, she seems diplomatic, and the most kind and straightforward with her. And she can respect the diplomatic need to make everyone get along, she saw plenty of that as the Keeper’s first. Going to the Hinterlands [next]

Considering livetumbling my latest Inquisiton playthough, cuz I need to put more attention into my Inky tbh This will focus on the intro, and making my character.

anyway, we are going to the enclave, let’s hope nothing goes wrong... Also, I plan to play on Nightmare (we will see how long that lasts, lol) mostly craft armour and weapons, and for romance, go for the game’s best elf.

OKAY WHO DID IT THIS TIME?!?! anyway, I’m always really bad at using character creators tbh, but I’m kinda happy with the resutl, anyway, this is Almithara Lavellan

Elven mage, (mostly specializing in fire) has a few face scars from rough training with her sister, and I am justifying my love for unrealistic purple eyes by saying “she kinda made them that way with magic” don’t question it.

Okay, I’m actually really glad with how she turned out in the end, usually at this stage when we get natural light, I give up on the game because I cannot get a proper looking OC out of the CC, but Almithara actually looks good for once. Also, It is so lovely to see Cassandra and Leliana again, forgot how much I missed them.

Almithara just casually threatens all the humans because she is DONE with this and just wants to go back to her family as soon as the breach is dealt with.

First real choice of the playthrough! Almithara chooses the mountain path, she doesn’t fully trust the soldiers of the Inquisition, and with her own experience as a Dalish Elf, favours her chances in the mountain path.

The funny shield I found for Cassandra makes for a funny frame here, tbh. Kinda surprised I got past the first demon boss so quickly, tough fight on Nightmare, but the inquisition troops were adequate meat shields to get me past so far. Anyway, gonna keep playing, but future entries in Almithara’s wacky adventures I will provide links here. [next]

Okay, so I used to do this on twitter (may see if I can retrieve the twitter livetweets) but since we aren't using Twitter much anymore. I'm putting my starwars watching thoughts here instead.

I'm not recapping past stuff ATM. But I am skipping the Malevolence arc, because it bored me and everyone I asked said it was boring. So we are now continuing the chronological order with 105: Rookies

From what I gathered, it's a continuation of 301: Clone Cadets. So I'm excited to see more of the clones in the team.

Listening post? Interesting for logistics, I still don't quite get how the logistics of interspace travel works tbh.

Why is the robot lady on the radio designed to be sexy?

I will say, I find it hard to track a few of the names of these clones. Maybe if the closed captions also indicated names it would be easier for me?

Having seen a few season 3 episodes... Season 1 feels very... Flat

Why are they getting so excited over meteors? Isn't that standard procedure? Like obviously it's part of the droids secret plans. But the clones don't know that.

Okay, these assassin droids are cool. Are they the same as the ones Triss was fighting in Jedi:Survivor?

Why are half the clones standing there unarmed while the droids execute another clone?

Like, maybe you didn't need to retreat if you kept your weapons on you? Just a thought?

Okay, so the droids plan is... Use the listening post to falsify an all-clear signal so they can sneak attack Kamino... Truly that is not the only security measure the republic has for one of their most important planets... Right?

Who was the clone that died though? Im really struggling to tell them apart. I think echo is wearing the visor, but who are the other two?

Rex is willing to shoot someone in clone armour on a hunch

"those cleaners have tough armour" you just shot one THROUGH clone armour. Clearly blasters are supposed to work.

Oh NOW rex asks for the removal of helmets.

"your armour is shiny and new" there is a notable scuffed/damaged texture to the armour, it is not shiny

And now Rex is pretending to be a droid to get inside.

It really is a choice of the show to have multiple characters with the same voice, and the same look/armour, talk at eachother in a battle, and not provide names in the captions.

Okay but, if hyperspace and such exists... Why are the droid ships in orbit of this planet? Are they there on purpose to check, or is this supposed to be part of the route they're taking?

Okay, I do like the "if we blow up the base, the signal gets sent" approach. The objective changed, instead of needing to defend this outpost, they focus on defending Kamino.

But it does mean Kamino loses a lot of their line of defense.

Wait, please don't tell me they intend to destroy the gonk droids too! Criminal!

"we could use a jedi about now" they are very proud of the fact it's a "no-jedi" episode, yet put Obi-Wan and Anakin in a few cutaway scenes for... No reason aside from reminding us what show we are watching?

Okay, but why are they using droids (which are sentient) as carrying containers for a highly explosive gas, where a tiny spark could potentially cause a catastrophic detonation.

Hevy is staying behind to detonate the explosives himself... Oh no.

Okay but, why is Hevy hiding so far away from the improvised bomb, he doesn't need to have the droids in the blast range. Just the signal transmitter.

Okay, but what is the speed of hyperspace, if the republic can send an entire fleet to Rishi within seconds of the signal stopping?

I know I'm probably overthinking the lore and all. But I still would like answers sometimes, yaknow.
