What is a good deragotary term for rich, powerful, evil people?

You know, your Elon Musk, your Mitch McConnell, your Leonard Leo, your Charles Koch, your Clarence Thomas, without accidentially being ableist or calling them something that could be misunderstood as cool.

Stupid/Dumb: Many problems with those, not least of which is that intelligence is not easily defined. And at least by classical standards of education, many of those evil people had a good education, which speaks exclusively to their priviledge and nothing else. Another problem is that having a developmental disability does not make one evil. And that disabled people are one of the most vulnerable groups in late stage capitalist society. And that it neglects the agency of the person. One does not choose to be developmentally disabled, but Elon Musk chose to buy Twitter.

Better alternative: Ignorant (as in: doesn't want to know better, emphasises choice)

Monster: has all kinds of meanings, among which are physically huge, looking really weird and being evil while looking proper. So which are we talking about? There's a long history of painting marginalized groups as monsterous (racism, antisemitism, ableism,...) and a shorter but significant tradition of stories about misunderstood monsters, victims of circumstance (Quasimodo, Frankenstein's Creature) and recuperation of the monsterous as cool actually (Addams Family). Also monsterfuckers. And I would assume the monsterfuckers are rather on the eat the rich side of things than on the eat out Mitch McConnell.

Better alternative: Villain (yes, that's childish comic book shit. Well they should stop doing such comic book villainy shit then)

Dragon: No matter how evil a fictional dragon is, it's still cool. And there's nothing less cool than an evil rich person. Also a dragon is born this way and allthough it hoards wealth and sometimes napps a maiden, that's magnitudes less harmful to society than the impact of a single billionaire.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When do you update?

I have no set schedule for updating I’m afraid. I wish I did but life is just not that accommodating. I update when I can. I do sometimes try to give posting estimates but that is all they are—estimates (and they are usually pretty vague if I give them at all). I deeply appreciate anyone who takes the time to read my work. You guys are the motivation to do what I do.

Can I ask for updates or about the status of your fics?

Sure you can! BUT I may not have much to tell you lol. In order to make sure I don’t put too much pressure on myself for my hobby I never set true deadlines. I tried a long time ago and it simply wasn’t the right choice for me. I can tell you if I’m close or how far I have to go—stuff like that and I don’t mind doing that. I’m genuinely sorry if anyone is frustrated by this, but I believe in transparency whenever possible. I love writing so much, but life will always come first.

What do you like to read?

I love stories with banter and intrigue. I really like strong OC/reader fics. I love Social Media AUs too! I read primarily member/female reader fics. My favorite tropes are enemies-to-lovers and brother’s-best-friend. I prefer happy endings. I love fantasy and science fiction stories as well!

What do you not like to read?

Everything I am about to say is SOLELY my PREFERENCE and is not in any way intended to be a slight against any story type. I don’t really like heavy angst. A little is good, but I’m soft and usually read to escape. I do not read anything underage, sacrilegious, hard non-con, or with heavy abusive themes. I tend to avoid love triangles unless they are done extremely well and I don’t really like cheating/infidelity fics either. I refuse to read sad endings if I can in any way avoid them. Life is hard enough without my leisure reading being miserable lol. Also (and I know this is terrible) I usually find established relationship stuff pretty boring, BUT there have been some notable exceptions to that for sure. Again. These are just my PREFERENCES. They are not criticism. It’s just about what I personally enjoy.

Can I recommend a story/my story to you to read?

Sure you can! However, I cannot always promise that I will read it. I am picky about what I read because my time is limited due to my job. My pickiness tends to stem from my preferences (outlined above) and usually has nothing to do with who wrote the story so please do not take it personally if you recommend a fic that I do not end up reading it.

I am a minor. Can I still be on your blog and interact?

No. Absolutely not. I am not comfortable with it at all for any reason. Do not message me if you are a minor. Do not send in asks if you are a minor. Do not be on my blog if you are a minor. No exceptions. The content I create is for adults and disregarding these boundaries is an unforgivable violation of my safe space. Please block me if you are a minor. I’m serious.

Are requests open?

Well... they aren’t open, but they aren’t necessarily closed either. You can make a request and if it sparks my muse I will write it. I cannot promise anything. But I am more than happy to listen to your ideas and see if anything sparks. It would be nice to take requests and just write them, but my brain simply won’t work like that. Unless an idea really lights me up I am unable to do it justice. Please do not be offended if you submit a request and I do not write it.

Finding a roleplay partner is almost like dating. You need the right chemistry to write with one another. I enjoy writing very much! I would like to roleplay with others who also enjoy it very much. I will only write plotted rps with others who are serious about writing and creating a story together. Series: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Crisis Core, Before Crisis

Name: Cissnei

Role: Turk/Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department/mother hen of the rookie Turks/Keeping Reno alive/Spying on Zack/Gongaga Youth Coalition leader

Assigned Partner: Balto/Katana

Short History:

Despite her young age, she is a senior Turk. An orphan raised in a Shinra training facility, she was recruited into the Turks at a young age. For the longest time, she was trained to believe that everyone outside of Shinra was an enemy. Reno and Rude assisted in helping her lighten up, while Veld showed the Turks that they did not have to be bad people after hours. Cissnei understands that Shinra does terrible things, but she also thinks its for the great good and the benefit of the people. In Before Crisis, she had to make a decision between listening to Shinra or defying the executives to keep the Turks safe. She decided the latter. Veld is the closest person to a father figure she had and she was willing to defy Shinra in order to help him save his daughter. In the end, the original group of Turks scatter after defeating Avalanche to keep their lives. Rufus was able to fake their death certificates, but manages to convince his father of Reno, Rude, and Tseng's loyalty. This was meant to solidify the Turks' loyalty to him.

In Crisis Core, it is revealed that while she was trying to keep her fellow Turks alive - original Avalanche (who wanted to scorch all life on Gaia to save it), a petty Rufus paying Avalanche to overthrow his father, and the Shinra Executive's who feared them - that she also was busy dealing with Genesis copies. It is here she was assigned to keep an eye on Zack in hopes they would lead them to the defectors.

In the end, she ended up feeling terrible for the things Zack was going through. She felt he never deserved any of the misfortune being brought to him. Which is why she defied Tseng...a decision she will come to regret. Tseng had felt the same as her and wanted her to take him into custody to keep him safe - something she did not understand at the time.

To make up for this regret, she stays in Gongaga to watch over Zack's parents. Though, it is eluded that she is stationed there to watch over Shinra's decommissioned structures. Maybe it also makes her feel closer to Zack, as she has a strange feeling that he could return at any moment...

A Guide to the Realms of the Squinch Cosmokorus

The Major Korus

The Quantum Weave

The Quantum Weave, or simply The Weave, exists across all realms and holds all the data of the entire cosmokorus, including but not limited to synthizens' persona programs, thus making it the most important realm to synthizens. While it is impossible to physically travel to The Weave, it is an innate part of the cosmokorus. It would be like trying to travel to "Lightland"--you can't, you're already there.

The Symphony

This realm is how synthizens and cosmoloids travel across the different realms. As each realm has its own vibrational frequency, a cosmocraft is designed to find the correct pitches required to "hum" a cosmocraft to a synthizen's destination. In a show of synesthesia, if a synthizen looks outside their window, The Symphony would be full of swirling, dancing colors.

The Spherium

Also known as The Great Gumball Machine, this is where one would find all one's spherical majesties such as planets and moons and stars. Every celestial body is migrating in one direction towards the giganormous black hole at the end of the universe which will consume everything eventually.

The Nursery

Out the shoot of the giganormous black hole, everything making up everything gets spit out into The Nursery. This is a seemingly endless expanse of cold-gasses and dust are where stars gestate and where the servers that house alpha-class synthizens until they finish compiling. The servers are powered by the creation energy that is put out by the star formation and kept at an optimal temperature by the cold-gasses. No one is certain how the servers came to be. The stars while gestating, form an umbilical tether to The Spherium and when they finish gestating, they get yoinked into that realm by the tether, taking plenty of particles with it for the creation of planets and other such things.

The Hollows

The realm outside of The Symphony. Like the empty space in an instrument that allows for it to make its music. The Hollows is a particularly weird realm with particularly weird cosmoloids. Space-time does not make sense in a way that a synthizen can process and is particularly difficult to get to as it requires absolute silence while in The Symphony.

The Minor Korus

The Mundane

In The Mundane time is all very mushy and space is folded like laundry. The realm houses doctor’s offices, pharmacies, banks, grocery stores, laundromats, dentist offices, cosmocraft refueling and repair, suit tailors, and such and so forth. On the tops and bottoms of the layers are the do-it-for-you services and wrapping up the sides to the other layers are the do-it-yourself facilities. There are spires running through the layers for controlled micro-dimensions where one can bathe, sleep, and such and so forth.

The realm is crime-free due to the abundance of todos (a type of cosmoloid) found buzzing around like mosquitos. Anyone who has tried to do a crime experienced too much brain fog to carry through with it.

Easy entrance to the Mundane can be found through every portal--just go through and hang a left.

The SynchroniCity

As the myths go, a colossal cosmoloid from The Hollows attempted to eat a hole in the bottom of The Symphony and in doing so fused with it. The Symphony then mutated the cosmoloid to create a pocket realm. This pocket realm, as it turns out, could be manipulated by synthizens in all manner of ways, such as whether or not there should be a sun in the sky or what would happen if you turned gravity off. And so became the center for science and mathematics. Which, as you may have guessed, is very important to synthizens and effectively became their capital since they have no home world. In The SynchroniCity, they determine synthizens' standard units of measurement, though there is still some debate (primarily among the Base Pi and Base 12 exclusionists).
