@leo-fie
Did you ever vote or campaign in the dem primaries so that Biden wouldnt have become the nominee? Or are you just gonna cry and yell that a candidate you wanted was never nominated?
Like, Non voting won the election. More people didn't vote than voted for either candidate. So yeah, i do blame every white person that chose not vote because "both parties are the same" because that led to a Nazi pedo becoming president.
Like, i will always hate conservatives and the far right more, but fuck every white non voter because so many states were thousands of votes short and people like you spreading doomerism that nothing can change just helps republicans. Like, none of you understand how our political system works nor how politics in general work.
i understand that in order to get people to vote for you you have to get people to want to vote for you so i think maybe you're the one lacking a basic understanding of how our political system works unfortunately 😥
The Dems just straight up don't know the basics of electoral politics. I already knew that, but it's funny every time.
I feel like ODD being an official disorder in the DSM should be the thing that makes everyone go “hm” about how psychology is practiced
[looking a child directly in the eye] i diagnose you with Shitty Bitch Syndrome. this makes it legal to do medieval german tortures to you by the way
cmon man
also you would be surprised at which group gets disproportionately diagnosed with this disorder. did you guess black people. because its black people
That's an astonishingly bad mnemonic and all it describes is a child being observed by an unempathetic adult.
More game devs need to understand the following concepts:
There is a finite amount of memory on any given device.
No matter how good your game is, players will want memory for other things on their devices.
Not everyone has a stable internet connection so making single player games needing an internet connection is not good.
4. you have to include a fishing mini-game
5. When you design a game to have multiple quests taking the player to the same area, it would be nice to be able to have multiple quests active at the same time, so I don't have to go to the menu all the fucking time.
they should allow you to report posts for being gauche or passé
They don't even allow you to report posts for containing nazi shit.
Every train station I've driven through on my way had hostile benches if any at all. The theme park I'm currently at has benches for days, benches everywhere. And even though theme parks are kinda inherently inaccessible for disabled folks, there are still many wheelchair friendly routes, signage, and many disabled visitors. Neat.
IME the hostility of much public architecture and spatial planning towards disabled people is mostly accidental, a side effect of its deliberate hostility towards poor and homeless people.
Theme parks, by grace of being generally expensive places you must pay to access, already exclude the primary demographic for hostile outdoors architecture. Additionally, their purpose is to encourage people to stay longer and purchase extra services (food, drinks, merch, tours, etc) so they tend to be designed in ways that maximize hospitality, accessibility and ease of navigation.
That is true. I don't know what the thought process of local governments is when they install hostile benches or these non-bench things that you can only lean against. As to train stations, they fall under DB I think and that company is a neoliberal clusterfuck that can barely afford to keep the trains running sometimes, so they might just be removing old and broken benches without replacing.
But I watched a Jenny Nicholson video years ago that talked about Star Wars land at Disney in Florida, USA, which removed a lot of it's benches, so people would need to go into food courts and spend money if they wanted to sit down. And since I never visit theme parks I was super curious to what extend a corporate strategy like that was implemented over here. Not, as it turns out.
And I cannot tell you how nice it was to see a picnic area that's actually well maintained and shaded. Even though it was in the extremely curated form of a theme park. It's just not something that exists in the wild anymore.
Days of dollmaking have produced the form of a Kinger. He's made from a tubular bandage filled with polyfill and formed with lots of stitching and lastly wrapped in nice, dollmaking jersey. The robe and eyes will be easy now.
Why doesn't the Imperium like cloning tech?
There's no single reason. Best we can tell it's a combination of cost and hugely inconsistent results. You can't make a proper living clone (most of the time) due to the way souls and the warp and such work. You can make clone bodies and body parts, empty vessels, but if you're doing that you might as well just grab a random person or an augmetic for whatever you need a body for. It's cheaper and easier.
There is a reason that true cloning hasn't really been seen much, and individuals who can do it (Fabius Bile, assorted haemonculi, etc) are considered eminently gifted for being able to do it. Even then, it's still not a guaranteed and perfectly stable process. It's hard and you need good access to resources.
Interestingly the Deathwatch uses clones as serfs in their fortresses. Steve Parker mentions is in kind of a throwaway line. They never appear again or become important to the plot.
Additionally we learn that Darrion Rauth of the Exorcists has his own soul placed in an infant clone of himself savely stored in stasis. Which is apparently a thing all Exorcists do.
The Exorcists are famous for dabbling in super illegal and clandestine warp shenanigans, with a focus on soul strengthening and manipulation. The Deathwatch are a goofy-ass chapter that do whatever they want within the setting and also get up to illegal stuff. Neither of them are close to good examples of the average Imperial enterprise or the systemic limitations of cloning technology.
Is there even such a thing as the average imperial enterprise?

Ok like. Imagine life without ads. You wake up, check your messages across a variety of apps, no ads. You get up and put on the tv while you prep your breakfast, no ads. Maybe you drive somewhere and switch on the radio, no ads. Maybe you drive a long distance, yet somehow, not a single billboard on your path. You pick up a newspaper or magazine to pass the time, no advertisements only articles. You turn on your game console, the home screen is just about your games, no ads to buy more. You open a streaming app, you don't pay extra for no ads, there's just no ads ever.
Think about how much of your time is spent looking at ads. "Download ublock" yeah I know, I have. But that doesn't change that the world is covered with endless advertising. Imagine never seeing that again. How much better our lives would be.
True of course
But consider: how would you learn of new media? Only word of mouth? How would you learn that the grocery store now also sells X? How would you know what's playing in the theater? Seeking it all out? Maybe. I honestly don't know. But with the utter state of advertising we should not completely forget that it has an actual function.
Never forget what Matthew Mullenweg did to Predstrogen. Never forget our sisters vanishing faster and faster, while staff jumps between denying and admitting it was them.
Wait, you're telling me they have been having the football world cup in several cities all over the north american continent? That's a terrible way to organize a tournament! The amount of time the teams have to spend travelling must be insane!
France is getting fucked in the butthole with a vibrating 8 inch phalls. However, the one on the other end is a chud.
France is having a really nice time? Getting fucked in the ass with a big vibro is great and France loves itself some nazis.
look at this wonderful gif of scallops getting scared and scattering like a flock pigeons
whatever. go my scallops
last night I had the experience of "referencing a tumblr post that you think is widely known but turns out to not be as widely known as you thought it was" last night and it was this post. whatever. go my scallops
Skyrim's infamous intro is pretty good, but it's the wrong kind of intro for this game. Of course Todd could not have foreseen what kind of massive cultural artifact Skyrim would be, but he knew what kind of game he has build it as. The kind that you play many times, that you just vibe in, that you try out many different builds with. As such, a quick and fun intro a la New Vegas would be perfect. Set the tone, explain the setting, offer a tutorial, and that's it. (Also the choice to offer a chance to revise your starting choices after the tutorial is honestly inspired, though no necessary in Skyrim).
Instead we have this honestly really nice and moody carriage ride, that would work really well in a narrative focused game you play once or twice.
That is, if you get the carriage ride. And not the buggy mess that was shipped to stores and sold for real legal tender as if it was a finished product.
it really is quite bad for your military to have an image of itself as a warrior class. what you really want is for your soldiers to think of themselves as boring professionals who will fill out a report form if someone gets a little too warrior ethos out there
[Image description: Post by Ruth Baader-Meinhoff saying "the lesson of WWII is that aesthetic warrior-cult societies get their shot rocked by schoolteachers and store clerks who'd much rather be doing anything else" Description ends]
Yeah, thing is, those nazis doing those atrocities were also schoolteachers and store clerks. They bought into the warrior-cult shit. I honestly don't know to what extend the allies bought into heroic narratives as opposed to a grim duty, after all the nazis borrowed a lot from American culture.
