OOC, SPOILERS FOR CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

The MC of Crime and Punishment was actually so real for everything. At the start of the book he says he managed to go THREE (3) MONTHS without talking to anyone because his ass is that antisocial. He's broke as HELL but he still gives money to random people he BARELY knows-

-Marmeladov, some guy that traumadumped to him at the bar,

-Some random girl that he recognized was going to be preyed upon by some creep,

-And Katarina Ivanova(Marmeladov's wife who becomes a widow later on).

This man can barely afford a good place. HIS PLACE ISN'T EVEN DECENT. It's mentioned like 1919304 times that his room is small and you could hit your head on the ceiling if you're not careful.

He murders the old woman and Lizaveta with an axe to rob them (well only the old woman but Lizaveta happened to be there), and hE DOESN'T EVEN USE WHAT HE STOLE. HE HIDES THEM UNDER ROCKS.

This asshole spent the first day afterward panicking and stressing about stuff he could have done wrong and he was seriously considering just. Going to the police station and telling everybody about the murder. He is SO UNHINGED. One moment he's talking about how it isn't his fault the old woman died and that the devil made him do it or whatever, and the next he's WHINING and COMPLAINING about wanting to stay in bed and to be left alone.

Even after not seeing his BEST FRIEND Razumikhin (best character btw) he's just like "let me be, let me be!"(he does say that). And STILL Razumikhin deals with his petty ass and feeds him soup while also blowing on it to make sure the MC didn't burn himself (THE SOUP WASN'T EVEN WARM), so props to Razumikhin for dealing with Raskolnikov's stubborn and introverted ass

I still fully believe Raskolnikov was so real at times because he recognized his sister was marrying some evil guy and was like "as long as I'm alive this marriage is NOT going to happen". Which is so real.

P.S why was Nikolay mentioned?? At some point theres a really minor character named Nikolay Gogol that admits to the murder of the old woman and Lizaveta (even though he wasn't the murderer). Anyways thanks for listening to my rambles about Crime and Punishment
