goncharov and katya

Okayyyy so as much as I LOVE the Katya/Goncharov/Andrei OT3 potential (OT3+ when we consider Sofia/Katya as well!) my thoughts on Katya/Goncharov in context are more complicated. They’re compelling, REALLY compelling, and I love watching them, but I was rooting for them to both be freed from the other tbh.

Like in an ideal world they could explore polyamory and be in their respective relationships whilst being married and I think it would be nifty, but as it was everything about them was just so deeply sad. They were together and it was suffocating them. Idk they’re a very tragic ship because they could have been so great in another world but as it is I just feel like I’m their canon they kept holding each other back so I feel complicated emotions about them

Sambucky + “you’re always acting like I’m so in love with you”

“Uh, yeah, because you are.”

Bucky rolled his eyes. “I can barely stand you. How do you think I’m in love with you?”

“Oh, yeah, you can barely stand me? What are you doing here then?” Sam opened his arms, showing Sarah’s living room. Bucky had come to visit them once more. Both of them had lost count of how many times he had visited. 

“I'm here to taste Sarah’s delightful cooking, obviously.” Buck flashed Sarah a charming smile from across the room, and she chuckled as Sam rolled his eyes.

“Right. What about the times you visited me in DC?”

Before Buck could find an excuse, Sarah walked in from the kitchen and put down a deliciously smelling pot on the table. “You’re both in love with each other and constantly bothering me with your flirting. Can we eat, now?”

A crossover ship I’d dig: Oh man. This was. The hardest one LMAOOO. Honestly, none. But I DO think everyone would IMMEDIATELY fall in love with Kimiko

A crossover BroTP I’d dig: I just quite simply think Noir and the Baron would be really good friends and Noir would be like :) "Someone I can be unmasked around"

A crossover Frenemies I think would be inevitable: HMMM. This is hard. Maybe Butcher? I feel like he'd work with the vamps and find them funny but he'd hate that asdjfkl. Also the vamps love Annie, HATE her power.

A crossover badass duo I think would be inevitable: HMMMM. Nadja and Kimiko <3

A crossover animosity I think would be inevitable: Listen. The vampires see Hughie and think "oh him........................they have a familiar too........" there is NO WAY they don't think Hughie is a lil familiar they keep around. And Guillermo is just. SO fucking jealous lmaooo this is purely a one sided animosity and poor Hughie is just trying to convince them all that he's NOT a familiar

Sidenote, I think Colin Robinson could single-handedly bore Homelander to death, esp bc Colin seemingly can't get killed so Homelander just asdfjkl can't even laser him to death.

Sambucky + “I think I could fall in love with you” “don’t” (yes that’s two sentences but the angst oli)

“Bucky...”

“I’m damaged goods, Sam. You deserve better than that.” Bucky locked eyes with Sam, his gaze angry to hide the heartbreak. Sam speaking those words was all he’d ever hoped, but he couldn’t do that to him.

“Yeah, well I don’t think you get to decide that for me.” Sam’s gaze didn’t leave Bucky’s, and he could see the inner turmoil taking place in his mind.

“Well I am. You deserve someone stable -- Not someone who still has nightmares about killing people every night.”

“You think I never had nightmares about killing people? I’m a war vet Buck--” Sam tried to calm his raising voice. “I don’t care about any of that.”

“God, just give it a rest, I told you--”

Bucky’s sentence was interrupted by Sam putting a hand on his face, and pressing their lips together. Bucky tried to resist at first, but ended up melting into the kiss. 

They kissed for what felt forever, until finally, their lips parted.

“I told you I didn’t want you to do that, Sam...”

Peter/MJ + “if you don’t hug me right now I might fall apart”

The words were out before MJ could stop herself, an admission that surprised both her and Peter, but as she stared across the wreckage she knew they rang true. 

There were bodies littered across the floor, classmates that she had known, that she wasn’t necessarily friends with but who she had known, complained about, joked with. Her eyes fell on Victoria Lee. Victoria always ran super slow in gym class, so she’d fall back with MJ and talk about the vacations she would take when she graduated and how excited she was to get home to her puppy. 

Now she was on her back, the sparkle in her eyes gone and a beam through her stomach, any future vacations dashed forever. 

And Strange had said this had been a win. Couldn’t he see what she saw? There was death everywhere - even in the ones left standing, she could see it in their eyes. Ned, Peter, Flash, herself, they were all dead. Peter was standing, barely standing, supported by Ned and Flash, and the look in his eyes...MJ knew he was on the verge of breaking just like she was. 

“Peter,” she said again, her voice breaking, and Peter shook his head, snapping himself out of whatever was going through his mind right now. He wobbled towards her and enveloped her in a hug, and MJ wrapped her arms around him, finally letting herself sob. She felt wet tears hit her neck as she realized Peter was crying too, and she clutched onto him harder, hoping that somehow with the hug they could suddenly be all right and not have to be traumatized, that they could open their eyes and Victoria Lee and Gwen and all their other classmates could just wake up and be okay. 

They wouldn’t, she knew they wouldn’t, but hugging Peter felt safe and made her feel like a miracle could happen. 

“Can we join too?” asked Flash, his voice small, so small, and MJ nodded. She felt him and Ned join in on the hug, and the four held each other, crying, mourning, and hoping for a miracle.
