The Vale of Rheidol Railway - Aberystwyth to the Devil’s Bridge
The Great Western Railway built the locomotives and carriages currently in use between 1923 and 1938. The Vale of Rheidol Railway is the owner of an extensive collection of historical, narrow-gauge locomotives and rolling stock. Mel, first time climbing back in May, the garden in the back is a permaculture community garden experiment that mel, a lot of my friends, and myself have been working on, it looks completely different now. Many new beds, new hugelkultur bed, a semi perminant greenhouse from dumpster dived windows, the tree of heavens are gone, the maple we are climbing on is gone, we used it several times to teach pruning, dry crotch rigging, and to educate people on rope access. The poor thing was topped and hit by a car, also had major rot in a trunk cavity. I want to replace it with a pecan or a chinquapin or burr oak. I have to convince everyone on the idea first but i really want to.
