hmm Aster currently has a game, right? or had one? how's that going? what's happened? put how did it end if it's over?

YEAH their game is still running! So far:

- The party was asked by their regional leader to rescue and establish a settlement that had been failing on the southern coast. They establish an alliance with an ogre settlement who’d been raiding it for food by running an errand for their leader to prove good will and then Aster bolstered their farms for them.

- Said errand was exploring a super old castle and wizard tower, and bringing back some spell scrolls. Turns out the leader is probably possessed by a lich, who’d been the wizard at that tower. It’s fine it’s fine.

- Ankhegs cause a sinkhole in town, driven by some invasive species of bug monster that’s collecting Children from nearby settlements. We could not figure out why.

- We find out that the oldest dragon in the land has had her clutch of eggs stolen (NOT by the ankhegs) and she is approaching fast to burn the country down.

- Before we can find any real leads, we find a base being set up by a clan of goblinoids, among them is a demon-summoning mage. We clear the place out and find out they’re setting up a base point for an oncoming invasion. When we get back to town, they’ve followed us, and just as we’re debating if we need to hold the line against an attack, we spot the dragonfire. We evacuate into the Underdark via the ankheg tunnels.

- On our way back, we are ambushed by spider drow, who nearly kill the party. We surrender, are captured, but manage to get our gear when the guards leave to prepare some ritual and fight our way out. We find out they’re allied with the goblinoids.

- We finally get to their original home city. Hades, Aster’s husband, comes from a family that works in demon contracts- and his grandfather BEING one of those demons, offers to retrieve the eggs for them in exchange for a unicorn’s heart.

- They end up trying to talk to the unicorn first, who instead shows them a vision of where to find the eggs. Grandpa is pissed. Oh well, that thing would probably have killed us, having Three angels around to back it up.

- On our way back to regroup and find a lead, the dragon’s eldest son intercepts and only doesn’t eat us because we tell him our mission. He’s now helping us, but tells us the goblinoids are allies of his mother, so this is going to be An Issue.

AND THATS EVERYTHING SO FAR. I’m upset that our town got Probably Super Destroyed when we spent so long working on it ;__; and even if we reclaim it everything around it was razed!! for MILES!! UGGHHHH

But they’re all the same, like, types of villagers, right?  Or are there new types of animal being introduced?

Teal - What makes you feel most at peace?

“Hmm…sitting in my study…white noise of a nearby creek accompanied by the sounds of local fauna…and the scents of freshly picked wildflowers atop my shelves. Sometimes I’ll be accompanied by something to read, sometimes not. Most enjoyable, however, is when Vex is present under these circumstances, doing something menial or muttering under his breath whilst tending to a task.”

Rouge- Do you have an unpopular opinion?

“…hmh…I suppose in some ways my outlook is unpopular amongst my own kind. My opinion that altruism is more beneficial than ableism has earned me many a scoff and rolled eye from some peers. Additionally, how I feel towards the Inquest is perhaps unpopular. Although I often times have to keep a close eye on myself, as I have very negative biases towards them. Despite this I understand not everyone who’s a member has joined of their own free-will, or with the intent to do harm. Thus, I do my best to keep myself open to hearing their stories in the hopes of freeing them and anyone else trapped in the Inquest’s grasp, before they or their family members suffer…or perish. But for those who intentionally gain at others’ expenses, I have no sympathy.”

@llimus :’) That makes me think of another GW2 example: There’s one of a male charr speaking in a female voice of what seems to be a “scratch” (draft) take of the dialogue, and then partway through it switches to the intended male V/O.

Would you mind telling us a little more about Matti? they look interesting

Oh absolutely! 

Matti was kidnapped as a young progeny by a krewe of Inquest. This krewe wanted to see if they could invent a way to survive without food, and he was their live test subject.

They surgically removed his vocal chords to avoid him screaming a lot because it’s hard to focus when someones being loud. 

Eventually, the Krewe succeeded in their goal, and now Matti produces and runs on electricity. Soon thereafter, Peacekeepers stormed the lab and arrested the Krewe on account of “Workplace Violations” and freed Matti, but not before they also expressed interest in running tests on this mysterious asura.Matti panicked at the idea of being taken to another laboratory, and electrocuted the people trying to take him and made his escape. A gate or two later and he ended up in the Black Citadel where he met Jyotis.Matti saw the metal embedded in Jyotis’ back and assumed he was also a test subject, so he now sticks around the very confused charr and “helps” with his work. Mostly he just zaps rats in the forge.
