General Fic update (w/ out updating the fic)
Hey y'all. Just wanted to post about where we are with the LLInVerse. This will make zero sense to you if you aren't subscribed over on Ao3 - so, surprise, I write desitiel fanfic under the same username. If that's your thing, this is your lucky day. Or not. I don't judge.
I'm trying to stick to a chapter per week for Let Love In, usually on Friday night/Saturday morning. I'm a night beast, so it varies. I respond to every comment (currently) and subsist on the kudos.
You will notice that I did not in fact update this week. Basically, I wanted to catch up on the fics I'm reading and make some progress on the insanely ugly scrappy yarn blanket I'm making.
Also, this is true, I have several fics I'm picking away at in the background. I wrote a solid 1000 words of angst and smut this past week. They are as follows:
A series of one-shots that are season or episode gap-fillers. They are smuttier than LLIn (as in, the burn ain't slow). I have lot's of philosophical questions when it comes to destiel. These fics are in a similar voice to LLIn. TBH, if I wanted to, I could make them work as prequels, but I don't wanna un-French Cas for the first time in Chapter 1 of LLIn. I COULD, but it would be evil. And if I'm gonna be evil in the LLInVerse, I'm not gonna spill the tea midway through a tumblr post.
A batshit post-s15x19 multi-fandom crossover that I'm thoroughly convinced NO ONE will read, but I can't stop thinking about it. Basically... it's that Supernatural/Being Erica/Magicians/two other surprise fandom crossover no one asked for.
I like playing with tropes, and I like rites of passage. So, I'm writing a multi-season fixit (LLIn). I'm working on the horny gap fillers. And, I'm gonna post that bloated, self-indulgent wtf multi-fandom cross-over. that is also somehow a "Cas Comes Back". Why? Because, fuck, It's such a relief to write shit that I can just make up after 15 years of academic writing.
So, where are we headed with the LLInVerse?
Tell you what. This is what I'm currently writing:
Sam is on a run. Dean's about to feel something he's never felt before. Cas is going to suggest something unconventional (and Dean's kinda into it). And, since we're in s13, I'm going to do something completely different but spiritually similar to Scoobynatural.
I've been looking forward to the next two chapters since I started this series - and I'm guess that's why they're proving to be some of the hardest to write.
But, wirting is still fun - and READING is still fun.
