Julian and Charity arrive just as Ronan finished his evaluation of Vada. Esther filled them both in on what had transpired earlier when Vada, apparently through electricity from her hands when she got excited....
RONAN- “Well, it is as I thought, Vada has abilities. Several I would say, but it’s hard to tell just how powerful and how many. You need to be aware of her even more so as she does her daily routine activities. If you happen to see her alone but talking to what seems to be someone with her, she is probably seeing spirits. We know there are some in this house. Dad saw his mother right here once, in this room. If things begin to disappear, be cognitive of the fact that she probably caused it, and inadvertently moved them somewhere else. Usually this will happen if something she is playing with or she sees that irritates her for whatever reason.”
ESTHER- “So what you are saying is that Vada is a witch?”
RONAN- “Definitely, yes.”
CHARITY- “But I don’t understand, Cyrus doesn’t have signs of any gifts, and Esther definitely does not have the blood line. How---
CALEB- “Even though Cyrus may not exhibit any gifts, he would have to have some dormant powers, that he has never challenged himself with or needed to use. Being a Boedell, this is normal. Many Boedell’s had siblings that were witches and didn’t realize it as their gifts were not exercised, or they chose not to use them. For instance, Saffie Boedell was a triplet. She had an enormous array of gifts. However both her siblings had powers as well, but never used them, so they became dormant as well.”
CYRUS- “But she is only a year old!? Is it normal for gifts to be seen this young?”
JULIAN- “Happy Birthday Vada...right?”
