million reasons

it still doesn't sink in, even after having met up with the apollo producer, j:one, himself. jaemin still couldn't believe any of this is happening. and while his mind was going through a multitude thoughts, both positive and negatives, a million reasons come to him to on why he should and should not sign. was now the right time to do this? when he's just getting used to the idea of being in uni? when donghyuck was startin to get used to their daily routines? was he ready for such drastic changes?

other than haech, there was only one other person that must know first about the good news -- yerim ( @lmyerim ). (yes, it was overwhelming, but a good news he supposed.) he calls her up as soon as he gets home from his short but surreal session at apollo. he doesn't dive much into the details in his message, only that he got a call from an entertainment company who wanted to sign him. he specifically asked her to just confirm having received the message and if she's available to meet up in a few hours.

he sits at the couch, watching random shows on the television. jaemin still kept thinking about wanting to sign, but also not wanting to a few moments later. music wise, apollo was not exactly his top choice, but at the same time, this would be a challenge for him. and he never backs down from one. sighing, he lets his head fall back, eyes staring at the ceiling looking for a sign, anything. he sits there quietly, waiting for yerim to arrive.

it wasn't every day that she could be with jaewon alone. sure, it was going to be another stay-at-home date, but at least her parents would be out for the most part of the night. and while somi had no issue about having them around, she would like to have some alone time with jaewon too. they can't see each other as much because of training and it always feels awkward to talk about some things with her parents in the same room. but she clears her thoughts and smiles, realizing she had reached her stop.

the young girl fixes mask as she makes her way out of the bus, jumping off, and skipping on the sidewalks, humming as she did. if there was somebody she trusted to help her with this, it was yerim ( @lmyerim ). somi always thought she was stylish, effortlessly stylish -- something she would like to achieve. it would probably take some time, and she didn't have much so she'd resorted to just ask yerim to help her pick out something that's not sweatpants or training wear.

she stops and jumps as she waves excitedly as soon as she spots choi yerim at their meeting place, "choi yerim!" the young girl calls out as she runs over and gives her a big hug. "hello~ hello! how are you pretty girl?" somi links her arm with yerim's, "what have you been up to lately, hm? have you been sleeping? eating right? practicing lots? tell me~ tell me~"

Girls’ Night In

a starter for @lmyerim

“So like, I was trying to find some super sweet bullshit, like Barefoot, or something, but...I don’t know Korean wine so I got this...it’s like...mulberry and it’s got some bitch in a hanbok on it, so it looks classy...” 

Soojin flashes Yerim the bottle of wine as she lowers herself onto her sofa, setting the pair of glasses she’d had awkwardly wedged between her fingers onto the coffee table, pouring them each a generous glass of it, richly purple-red, and nodding for Yerim to take one. 

“And we’re like...classy, right? So I thought it fit the occasion...” she adds with a snort. 

She tucks her legs up against herself, grabbing the tiny little remote to flick through some of their viewing options, eventually landing on The Craft, and clicking play, although she hardly expected them to be the most attentive of viewers; it’d been far too long since her and Yerim had had a chance to catch up, and she kind of figured that the film would end up as little more than a nice, seasonally appropriate backdrop to their conversation. 

“How’s...Opus? Omnus? Omni? That one, right?” she says, trying to recall the name of the company Yerim had signed her youth away to, “Oh shit, and your little girlfriend?”

Not that Lele has ever in particular wanted to cook, it never much interested him, Lele was given food and he wasn’t sure where it came from, what exactly it was or who had made it, but he was happy with it. Cooking was never a necessity for Lele, it never has been, still isn’t, but like all things in Lele’s life, he needs to learn it even if it’s not necessary. Lele’s parents have always been very fond of the word ‘if’, what if they suddenly became poor? What if there suddenly came a zombie apocalypse? What if Lele suddenly had to move back to China? And thus Lele has been taught many things he doesn’t find absolutely necessary, like how to make a fire, how to clean water, how to treat a wound, how to cook. Lele thinks it’s stupid, but perhaps his parents do know better.

Lele started to learn how to cook when he was twelve, before that his dad had been able to convince his mom it wasn’t necessary, when Lele’s dad died Lele learned how to cook despite still having a million people cook for him. The things he cooked he often couldn’t even eat because of his endless diets, and why cook when you can’t even eat it? Lele thinks it’s stupid, but he does find cooking calming, and hence he does sometimes voluntarily cook. But when Lele cooks he needs somebody to cook for.

Lele has been in Korea for close to a year, yet the young boy still hasn’t been very well at this ‘friend-making’ thing, however a few friends he has gathered, most of them unbelievably irritating, or uninteresting for Lele, and Lele only hangs out with them to make his dad happy, however a few of them, he actually kind of considers friends. One he does not entirely hate is; Yoorim. And by inviting her over, he could both convince his dad he had friends and he could get the chance to cook, and therefore he had invited the female over, something which he did not do a lot, because his home was his calm place, the place where his ‘friends’ weren’t allowed.

‘Dong Gua Tang’, he repeats the word in his head, he has only tasted it once before, when someone made it for him, it was delicious, and he had wanted to make it himself for quite a while, this being finally his chance. “Noona. Have you ever tasted Winter Melon Soup before?”, for once, a question he asks out of curiousness instead of politeness. He places the bowl of soup in front of her, and then turns his look to her.
