Like I said back in my yokai post, I pointed that Ferryman has a lot of similarities with ame onna, who’s a yokai that brings rain wherever they go. So now I have the headcanon that whenever Ferryman goes in the Maw, it starts to rain in the room he's in.
When he's on the Maw, he stays a lot in the Depths.
Hunter: So, who broke it? I'm not mad I just want to know.
Thin man: I did, I broke the-
Hunter: No, no you didn't. Granny?
Granny: Don't look at me look at Teacher.
Teacher: What, I didn't break it.
Granny: Huh that's weird, how'd you even know it was broken?
Teacher: Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken.
Granny: Suspicious.
Teacher: No it's not.
Doctor: if it matters and it probably doesn't but Lady was the last one to use it.
Lady: Liar, I don't even drink that crap!
Doctor: Oh really then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?
Lady: I use the wooden stirs to push back my cuticles everyone knows that Doctor!
Thin man: Okay let's not fight, I broke it, let me pay for it Hunter.
Hunter: No, who broke it!
Teacher: Hunter, Janitor's been awfully quiet.
Janitor: Really!?
Hunter with everyone else arguing in the background: I broke it, it burnt my hand so it shot it, I predict 10 minutes from now they'll be at each other's throats with war paint on their faces and a pig head on a stick. Good it was getting chummy around here.

Little Nightmares characters : yokai counterpart (part 1).
I wanted to do this for quite some time, mostly for the mirrors in LN (which I'll get to in part 2 of the post) because I find it very interesting. So in this first part I'll talk about the Teacher, the Viewers, the Janitor, and the Granny. (The only reason I do this in 2 parts is because I can’t post more than 10 pictures.)
The Teacher : rokurokubi (long neck woman).
Literally a woman who can extend her neck, like the Teacher. The rokurokubi either scares humans or go as far as devouring them in their sleep. Likewise, when the Teacher stretches her neck and catches Mono, she holds him like she’s going to eat him.
The Viewers : noppera-bo (faceless ghost).
The noppera-bo, either male or female, is a human-shaped yokai that only has one special feature : they have no face. And they use this as a prank to scare humans, facing away from them until they reveal their absence of face. They always prank people in group and one at a time, like how there’s multiple Viewers throughout chapter 4. But the noppera-bo is mischievous and way less dangerous than the Viewers. They only want to scare people !
The Janitor : tenaga, from the ashinaga-tenaga (he's on the left).
The ashinaga-tenaga is a duo of yokai : ashinaga who has huge legs (up to 6 meters) and tenaga who has huge arms (up to 9 meters). They both are fishermen who work together to catch fishes, and aren’t dangerous. Though Roger is alone, the fisherman aspect can be linked to him working at the Maw ! And plus...he's got long arms, like tenaga.
Granny : umibozu (sea priest).
Though there’s a lot of versions for the umibozu, they are either a gigantic creature or old man who loves destroying ships and drowning people in the ocean. They’re originally vengeful spirits of priests who drowned at sea, like how the Granny is full of rage in the sewers, though here it’s because she’s been left to decay. Also she doesn’t like company like the umibozu.

Runaway Kid :
- He's a very good swimmer, but after his encounter with the Granny, RK now has a big fear of water…that doesn’t stop him from bragging about his swimming skills, some meters away from the water.
- He drew a plan of the Maw with his limited knowledge after many attempts of escape, but unfortunately a younger kid found his plan and drew on it, thinking it was a weird dragon and wanting to add details.
- He takes anything small enough for him as far as he can until he has to abandon it. Shoe, monkey toy, can…he just wants something to throw as a distraction !
- He tried several time to have a secret handshake with the Nomes, but the thing is that they never remember it…and him either.
- He loves giving and receiving hugs, and luckily the Nomes love that too ! Comforting each other is important, especially when you’re a tiny kid in this world !
- He doesn’t trust people easily, but totally trust any Nome he encounter. I mean look how cute they are !! They're all so pure~
Ey could u do headcanons of Granny, Lunch Lady and Dumpster monster? (That rhymed?-)
Hello ! Wow I didn’t expect an ask about Dumpster Monster :O but no problem ! I’m doing these three !
And oh boy, I'm really bad at rhyming so...I'll try rhyming 2 headcanons at a time ! Hope it’s okay x) and I hope you'll like these headcanons !
Granny :
- She knows all you need to know about swimming, though I won’t recommend personal lessons : the first exercise is to keep your breath underwater for 40 minutes tops.
- But while she can perfectly swim, she can’t do a proper dive : it’s either a normal jump or a very painful belly flop.
- But it’s not because she's always underwater that she can’t have furnitures floating on the water : she amassed in the sewer a couch, table, mattress...it’s just like a real house !...with a small water leak.
- She also found a TV, but the Granny can’t remember where it is...her memory isn’t that great, but she knows that she put it somewhere high last week...
- Managing a comfortable space (well as comfortable as you can get in the sewer) is great to forget the abandonment and rage you've experienced ! 100% approved by the Granny !
- She'll treat any living creatures as unwanted guests. She was hospitable in the past, but now she just want to be alone and not think about her situation. So just let her be !
Lunch Lady :
- She always complains about her job, the Bullies' bad behavior, the cafeteria being always dirty because of them...but she doesn’t do anything about that last one, claiming « why should I do it if then they'll just dirty it again ? » and then go on a break.
- She's also very messy herself, not cleaning her mess until the end of the day : because of that a lot of time Bullies slip and break their head. Though she can easily pass this as "bullying gone too far"...which is also common, so covering these accidents is a piece of cake.
- In opposition of the Teacher, she has a hard time getting respected by the students. That’s why she’s always in a bad mood...and the Bullies calling her "Moody" is not really helping.
- She doesn’t really like her job, and the Bullies stealing her food or utensils doesn’t improve her mood. So the food she prepares is always cold and barely edible because, well, these dolls don’t deserve good cooking.
- The only reason she keeps feeding them is because she fears the Teacher : in a few seconds she can verify if the Lunch Lady does her job with her never ending neck ! Though there is a good side of this situation : when she’s here, all Bullies stay as still and quiet as a statue !
- When she goes in the cold storage, she makes sure no students follow her : they may be fragile, but she's sure they're able to lock her in ! But one day she forgot to look around and...turns out her assumptions were true.
Dumpster Monster :
- they have a cousin and rival, Shoe Monster : they're competing for the most killing count, and Dumpter Monster is losing...but it’s probably because less kids come in the dumpster.
- If children even mention the word shoe, they’ll immediately think they’re talking about much better their cousin are, and it’s making Dumpster Monster chase waaaay faster.
- Though you can’t see them, it’s easy to assume that they are as dirty as a rat, given that...well...dumpster. One more reason to not lose the chase !
- Dumpster Monster loves collecting things, even if it’s broken or worthless : that's why they chose the dumpster in the first place !
- They’re blind as a bat, and rely on footsteps to know where the children are. Because of this they sometimes accidentally pull in rats and birds, much to their confusion.
- It happens several times that Dumpster Monster throw their collection to the kids because they say the already mentioned s-word. And let me tell you ; even though they’re blind, they throw things like they have a perfect vision.

Talk me about Granny
Oh I haven’t thought a lot about the Granny ! Um...
Well she’s a very lonely woman and she always complains to herself that company would be nice...and when a kid finally came she's like « oh I'm going to drown him. » it’s like a cat : she wants company...but doesn’t actually want it x)
Also I love how when RK met her, she was just relaxing on her chair x) also I like to think that she just rearranges all the furnitures she found so it kinda looks like a home...but on water.
