I managed to binge these episodes because I saved the coins from different events, but unless a new one happens this week this might be my last entry for now.

Like, I get why y’all like him and you’re Valid, but he is very much not my type, and a cunning trickster mascarading as a himbo will always rank higher than an annoying olympian fratboy in my book.

Helen??? I mean we’ve seen Zeus in his swan form before, but no way Helen of Troy is grown enough to start the war yet. She hasn’t even been kidnapped by Theseus yet, and she was like 12 when that happened.

Nobody has seen Hades in years? Not even Hecate??? Did Hades pass out somewhere no one would think of looking? Maybe somewhere significant to him and Persephone?

Ok, so Athena went to chastise her trash dad for his shitty choices and probably doesn’t know Persephone is here. Good. Hope we get to see that conversation.

*spit take* wait- Aphrodite marrying Hephaestus already happened??? In one version of the myth Hephaestus forced Hera to arrange the marriage, but it doesn't seem to be the case here, although perhaps it is too early to say. Like with Poseidon, this Hephaestus seems to be a better person here (and also closer to my type, just saying). I doubt he and Aphrodite are all that happy together.

I’m surprised that Aphrodite ditching Ares is portrayed as a given, though. The way I understood it they were in an open relationship.

Btw, has anyone wondered about Psyche, yet? Last we saw her she was in the mortal realm and Eros on the trial.

I get the feeling we’re gonna smash cut back to that Zeus/Athena convo before we’re shown whats behind that door. Maybe the underworld covered in Persephone’s overgrown tree? that was the teaser image, right?

I wonder how Rachel’s going to spin this. In the original myth, Aphrodite was married to Hephaestus and was beyond unfaithful to him.

Given the grievances Ares listed for Aphrodite dumping him (and if Rachel sticks to the original material and has Aphrodite marry Hephaestus) it’s possible that that part of the myth will be excluded, hopefully. Personally I really like Lore Olympus’ version of Hephaestus, and he definitely deserves someone who doesn’t actively cheat on him or despises him. And given the reasons Ares gave for Aphrodite ending things with him, she knows she deserves someone who doesn’t isolate his love from her for years on end, doesn’t talk about the appealing beauty of another woman to the most vain Goddess in existence, and doesn’t lead her on with zero intention of commitment (like his father).
