Cuddling with UOAW Characters

Request - So excited to see another person writing for Loa! If you don’t mind could you maybe do headcanons of cuddling with the once upon a witchlight crew?

Kremy Lecroux 

- Being the busy conman that he is, cuddling with Kremy comes late at night after a long day of making money with as little work as possible

- He almost never initiates it you’ll have to drag him to you if you want to cuddle the gator

- If you’re shorter than him he’ll curl around your, tail and all, keeping you as close and as safe in his eyes as possible

- If you’re as tall or taller than him he’ll 100% take advantage of it and snuggle in your arms, tail either wrapped around your leg or laying over your waist

- Be prepared cause once you’re in his arms he’s not letting you go for a long while mainly cause he loves you and also because you’re a personal space heater for him

- Since he’s coldblooded cuddling with him in summer is a dream 

- If it’s unbearably hot he’ll slide his hands under your shirt to cool you down

- The colder seasons will be when he subtly initiates things like pulling you into his arms or leaning against you with his jaw resting on top of your head

- He’ll talk about his next con plan with you if neither of you can sleep late at night, ask for your opinion all that

- I can see Kremy being a guy who’ll absentmindedly play with your hands while cuddling

Gideon Coal

- Gideon is a cuddler 

- Any chance that he gets where everything is calm and the group is finally taking a moment to relax you best bet he’s pulling you into his lap

- This man is the warmest mother fucker alive

- Being a fire genasi he radiates warmth, especially being the big guy that he is, cuddling him 9 times out of 10 will be him laying down with you lying on top with his arms around you

- If you’re around the group he’ll have you with your back against his chest, arms wrapped around you 

- He loves the closeness, being able to whisper in your ear knowing no one else in the group can hear the normally loud genasi

- If the two of you are alone he’s a total tease while cuddling, hands trailing, many many kisses

- He’ll play with your hair (if possible) it’s the most gentle he’s been in a long time 

- On the off chance that you’re taller than Gideon he becomes a flustered mess at being in your arms since he’s larger than everyone 

Morning Frost

- Frost is a multitasker, he’ll already be doing something and then be like “Come here I need attention” 

- Like he’ll be reading some tome or book and have you either sitting or laying in his lap

- One hand on the book and the other one stroking your arm or head respectively

- Pet. His. Ears. 

- He’s so reserved he needs the attention please cuddle him like he is a kitten he will savor every minute of it

- He only really purs when he’s around you and the first time he’s half laying on top of you while you run your hands through his fur

- Will bump his head against you to get you to cuddle closer to him

- Will also rub his face against yours, encouraged by your laughter when his fur and whiskers tickle you 

Gricko Grimgrin

- Gricko’s a small guy, he’s 3’5” and he uses it to his advantage

- He will constantly have you carry him just so he can snuggle against you on your journey

- He’ll talk your ear off if you’ll let him

- Likewise, he’s one to sing quietly to you late at night when you two are settling in and he’s tucked himself into your arms

- He’ll get impossibly close to you like you have 0 personal space in general but when cuddling he has to be touching as much of you as possible to be comfy

- Will just lay on top of you and force you to cuddle with him

- You have to accept the occasional Hootsie guest star when she wedges her way into the mix

- He’s very touchy, he’s hugging your arms close to him, pressing kisses to your face any chance he gets, snuggling into your neck

Torbek

- Please cuddle this guy

- He’ll take anything he can get if it means physical touch

- If by some off chance, you’re taller than him (he’s 7’4”) he’ll love curling up and being held just be mindful of the tubing and witchlight canisters

- He’ll still try to curl into your arms if you’re smaller than him, he’ll try his damndest 

- Will literally cocoon you with his limbs alone like the rest of the group is wondering where the hell you went when you’re just warm as ever in a fur cocoon

- He definitely draws shapes like he has to constantly be doing something to keep his hands busy 

- Cuddling with Torbek after he’s had a bath (let’s be real you hose him down and he then consumes the hose) he’s like a huge soft blanket

- He 100% will just scoop you up whenever he wants to cuddle, long arms means you have to be prepared for anything

- He’s just an anxious bugbear please just cuddle the guy I’m begging

“I made a small miscalculation in Deraa,” Lawrence heard himself say, feeling the pull on his lips when he forced them up. “Some Turkish soldiers thought I should be drafted, and when I informed them that I had no intention of joining their ranks, they countered with some rather painful arguments.”

“They…”

“They whipped me until I agreed to their demands,” Lawrence hurried to say, the words slipping easily from his lips as the truth. “I was able to escape later from the barracks with the help of an old friend.” Was it a lie if he was omitting part of the truth?

Kremy Lecroux

- Kremy definitely went to bed before you cause he needs his “beauty sleep” and is beyond confused when he wakes up randomly to you not in bed like ??? Hello ???

- He’ll get up and go find you, trying his best not to startle you

- Will sit with you either in silence or chatting between the two of you

- Will 100% pull you into his arms so he can rest his head on top of yours

“Ya know, Gid used to not be able to sleep when we met.” Kremy gently traces his hands up and down your arms. There’s a soft rumble that comes from Kremy as he settles against your back. 

It wasn’t often that you got the softer side of Kremy even his voice was quiet. “Did you use your magic to put him to sleep?” You muse but when he doesn’t answer you laugh, getting a chuckle from him.

“Sometimes, yes. But only when he asked.” He left it at that, an open invitation for whenever you really needed to sleep but couldn’t, he’d have no problem asking you if you would kindly go to sleep.

Gideon Coal

- Will offer to knock you out as a joke and if you agree he doesn’t have the heart to do it and will just fake hit your head before saying how strong you are (will imply it’s cause he’s been giving you fighting lessons on the side)

- Having his fair share of insomnia, Gideon understands how hard it can be and is more than capable of staying up with you if you’ll have him

- Will tell you stories about him and Kremy’s travels to pass the time

“And then they had the nerve to call me a bitch, me!” He throws his arms up and then wraps them around you, huffing at the memory. Your hand runs up his arm, gaining his full attention. 

“What happened next?” You lean against him, playing with his hand in your lap. 

You can almost imagine the smirk on his face as he shifts. “Well I beat the living hell outta him obviously.” He laughs, “Guy was on the ground after the first punch.” 

Morning Frost

- Frost offers to make tea

- Will stay up as long as needed so you’re not lonely

-  You two will get into deep conversation while drinking your drinks, it becomes a regular thing over your time traveling together

“You should just open a tea shop.” You muse, sipping the drink. “I mean after we free ourselves of our mense amount of debt. Take it easy, just sell tea someplace in the mountains.”

“You’ve thought this out.” Frost notes.

“Got a lot of time to think when I’m not sleeping.”  You smile from beside him, Frost’s tail lays across your lap, allowing you to run a hand through every once in a while. He’s secretly hoping it’ll be enough to lure you to sleep so he can also sleep but he’s fine staying up for a little while longer if it’s with you.

Gricko Grimgrin

- Will go dad mode on you don’t think he won’t

- When he says it’s bedtime it’s bedtime even Hootsie knows that

- But when you can’t fall asleep and accidentally wake him up by turning for the 100th time, Gricko will roll on top of you

“What are you planning to accomplish here?” You can’t help but laugh at the Goblin now lying to you. Gricko yawns, snuggling closer to you as a hand raises to place a finger over your lips. 

“It’s bedtime [ your name] so I’m weighing down your thoughts with my body so you sleep.” While his logic didn’t totally make sense who were you to argue with him? Seeing you both awake, Hootsie will totally move in closer, now taking Gricko’s spot so that you’re officially stuck with him. 

“I can’t really argue can I?” Gricko shakes his head, making a noise as he begins to fall back asleep. He’s a little guy he needs his rest and honestly a weighted Goblin is probably a nice help with sleeping. 

Torbek

- 100% Will stay up with you as long as needed he’d rather talk with you than sleep and have nightmares sooo

- He’d totally make up games to wear you down though cause he does care about you 

- Will try to convince you that sleep is important even though you might not be able to help that you can’t sleep

“Torbek believes that we should sleep now, it’ll be tomorrow quicker.” You could laugh at his obvious statement had it not been the middle of the night and everyone else is sleeping away. There’s shifting and suddenly he’s pulling you to him and you’re wrapped up in his arms in bed.

“Believe me, I would love to sleep.” You mumble against him, feeling his hands trace shapes and soothe over your back. You can see the soft glow that comes from the Witchlight fill the room.

“Torbek will not leave, you can sleep.” His hold on you tightens as he holds you against him. You eventually do fall asleep and, true to his word, Torbek was in the same spot when you woke up, he had barely moved.
